I thought I’d show Fydor a little of the life of the City, so it was to the Laughing Parrot we headed for our meal.
“Have you been in this area before?” I asked as we rode near.

"A little bit. I think," I added with a laugh. "I like to... to explore. But I do not know this street." I had recognized enough landmarks on the way here to know that we were still in a good part of the City, and after that I trusted Shea. He seemed like the good sort.

“This is a lively area. Always good a place to find something to do,” I said, grinning.

"I like the sound of that," I replied with a grin, using one of the phrases that I had picked up. I guided my mount around a group of revelers that already seemed to be quite enjoying themselves.

“I hope it doesn’t disappoint,” I said, chuckling. A little further and the Laughing Parrot was in front of us.
“We’re here,” I said, indicating the building.

I looked up at the sign, and my brow furrowed slightly. "What is a parrot?" I inquired.

“A bright, colorful bird,” I explained, pointing to the bird on the sign.

“I’ve only ever seen one in real life. The bird could speak better than a lot of people,” I said, chuckling.
I reined in my mount as we reached the front, a stable boy rushing over to take our reins. I tossed him a couple coins after I dismounted, waiting for Fydor to join me.

I swung down, patting my mount's shoulder absently. My eyes were busy taking in the scene around me. This street did seem a touch more lively than average, and the strains of some sort of entertainment trickled from the establishment we were about to venture into. "A bird that talks? I thought that was just for stories," I told Shea as I joined him.

“So did I until I saw one. It was quite amazing,” I replied, chuckling. “And apparently they live for decades.” I led Fydor inside, stopping in the door way to look around and soak in a little of the vibrant atmosphere.
“What do you think?” I asked, looking at him and grinning.

I looked around, taking in the atmosphere of laughter and the acrobats on stage doing the most mind-bending tricks. A grin formed on my face.
"I like it."

“Do you prefer to sit to the side where we can watch more, or sit more in the middle of things?” I asked, motioning to empty tables that fit both categories.

“You really are my kind of man,” I said, grinning as I clapped him on the shoulder and then led the way to the open table right in the midst of things.
Taking a seat, I waived over a server. She was a lovely fair haired thing with a large bosom that was well shown by her bodice.
“What would you like to drink?” I asked Fydor.

The server came over, and it was hard not to stare at her rather substantial... jabloki. But I managed to tear my eyes away at Shea's question. "I will have what you have," I replied with a smile.

“Two ales to start with love,” I said, flashing her a charming smile. She blushed prettily and headed off.
“My, she’s worth the trip here all by herself,” I said, grinning at Fydor.

“Well, properly one could say she is very well formed or well endowed,” I said, smiling. “I would say she’s got enough to keep both my hands and mouth busy for a couple hours without touching the same skin twice.”

I couldn't help but laugh again, Shea's wit was sharp. "I am not blaming for saying that, but I think that I can see why you do not say it in proper company," I replied with a grin.

“I’ll remember that,” I said, storing the words away for later.
The discussed girl returned with our ale and a fresh blush that spread across her creamy skin. Before she could leave, I laid a hand on her arm as I asked Fydor, “Shall we order some food as well?”

I was still grinning when the girl returned. "Yes, good idea. What is favourite of you, mademoiselle?"
The blush renewed itself on her cheeks. She really was very fetching, though nothing on Lessandrie's luminance. "The mutton is quite nice right now my lord. It comes with roasted potatoes and summer vegetables."
I nodded. "The mutton please."

“For me as well,” I said, smiling and letting my hand drop from her arm slowly.
“Yes my lords, right away,” she said, blushing and curtseying before hurrying off.
I looked at Fydor and grinned wide.

I took a matching gulp, and then grinned again. "The drinks here, they taste different. But they taste very good," I told him.
