“Thank god for talented cooks who let us eat their food then,” I said, chuckling.

I chuckled at his words, nodding wholeheartedly. "Yes, for without them we would surely perish. And that would be terrible," I said with a soft laugh. "A toast to talented cooks then?" I said with a playful smile and a tilt to my head as I raised my glass again.

“Absolutely,” I said, smiling and touching my glass to hers in toast before taking a drink.

I took a small drink from my glass and smiled back. "So, singing and dancing we both do, cooking is a no. How about hunting?" I asked as I tried to get to know him better.

“Oh no, I don’t hunt,” I said, shaking my head slightly. “Do you hunt?”

I laughed softly as I shook my head. "No, no hunting for me either. So... we must never get stranded in the woods together, without a hunter and a cook," I said with a soft laugh.

“It’s good that I don’t go wandering out in the woods, do you?” I asked with a laugh.

"I try not to make a habit of that," I said with a chuckle, "my navigational skills are terrible. I wouldn't know north from south if you turned me about with my eyes closed and told me to choose a direction," I said with a soft laugh. It was a bit of an exaggeration but I figured he understood where I was coming from.

“Mine aren’t that bad, I just have never felt the draw of the woods,” I said, chuckling.

I smiled at his words. "I like nature, the beauty of it, but I don't think I would do well in the woods. Nice gardens, a labyrinth of shrubs sure," I said with a smile. "Those are easy enough."

“I prefer the seaside, the ocean, to the woods,” I said, smiling. The server arrived with our meals, setting them down and refilling our wine glasses before withdrawing.

"Mmmhmm yes the sea is lovely," I said with a smile as the dishes were set down. I smiled as the waiter poured our wine and then made off to tend to other business. I took my breath in through my nose, smelling the pasta. "Mmmm that smells lovely...," I looked to him, "but the proof of the pudding lies in the tasting," I said with a smile as I picked up my utensils, getting ready to try the pasta.

“Yes, it does,” I agreed, picking up my fork but waiting for her to eat first as was proper.

"Here goes," I said with a smile as I picked up a few noodles with my fork and brought the morsel to my lips. I opened them, my tongue sliding the pasta from my fork and started to chew. My brows shot up and I giggled just before swallowing. "That is actually rather good," I said. I was surprised but not, at the same time. It was creamy and I could just taste the hint of parmesan and the spice from a bit of pancetta. I really did have too much love for food. "Mmm lovely," I murmured.

I took a bite as well, letting the flavors develop in my mouth before chewing and swallowing.
“This is very good,” I said, smiling. “Excellent choice.”

I must have glowed with the smile I put on, then ducked my head and looked at him through my lashes. "I am glad that you like it, and happy I made the right choice for both of us," I said before taking another bite and savouring it this time.

"Mmhmm," I murmured with a smile, "and believe you me," I said with a smile before gathering more of the pasta on my fork, "I cannot wait for it," I murmured before taking another bite.

I laughed softly then took another bite. "I have a feeling pleasing me will be a breeze. But you might want to start thinking on what you might do... sing a capella or play as well," I said with a smile.

"Oh I hadn't thought of that," I said with a soft pout before taking another bite. "But I do so want the full experience," I said with a smile. "Is that where you are staying then?" I asked with a smile.

“I haven’t been here long enough to justify a trip home,” I answered, then took a drink of wine. “Besides, when I go home it will be for good. I will not be able to bring myself to leave again.”

I smiled sadly at his words. "And your work here is not done yet then?" I asked.
