“Well, the nursery at the estate is yellow with touches of purple and green, so basically L’Envers colors,” I said, chuckling. “We could make this one purple with touches of yellow and green perhaps? What do you think?”

"A bit more royal feeling for the City? I like it," I said with a grin.

“Excellent,” I said, smiling and looking around again. “Now to find the perfect purple…”

"Darker maybe?" I suggested. "So that it could be suited for a boy or a girl?"

I nodded as I thought. “That’s a good idea, especially with the accents of yellow and we can use a lighter green like the wash on the crib,” I agreed, smiling at her. “Oh I am so grateful you are here to help.”

I smiled and answered modestly. "You have a good eye, I'm sure you would have been just fine," I assured her.

“I’d still be standing over the cribs paralyzed with indecision,” I said, with a laugh.
I picked up a blanket made of a purple cloth just darker than medium. It had soft silk ribbons on the edges. “What about this?”

"Oh, very nice," I said appreciatively. She had picked a piece that coordinated with other pieces. "I quite like the set."

“I hadn’t even noticed the other pieces,” I said with a laugh. “I just like the ribbons, they seem so soft.”

I chuckled. "The ribbons are a very nice touch," I agreed.

“Let’s keep this in mind and keep looking. I’d hate to miss something better just because I fell in love with some ribbons,” I said, grinning.

I laughed. "It would be a shame," I replied with a smile.

“Yes it would,” I agreed, chuckling. I looked around again. “Do you see anything?”

I looked around, and something caught my eye further in the back. It had been the purple that had caught my eye, but it was covered by other blankets. Unearthed, it was a quilt in royal purple and spring green squares. "What about this?"

“Oh Juliette that’s perfect!” I exclaimed, moving to where she was. “Oh I love it.”

"The gods are with us today, I barely saw it," I said with a wide grin from her happy reaction.

“See, and you said I would have done fine without you, I never saw it at all,” I told her, smiling. “Now we need the other linens to match the blanket, because the blanket we are absolutely keeping.”

Carefully I tugged the quilt free of the other blankets burying it, and folded it over my arm. "In the same green as the quilt?" I asked.

“Perhaps a set in the green and another in the purple,” I said, nodding. “Or even several sets of each, these are for babies after all.”

I chuckled. "True enough. Bed linens look like they're over there," I said, pointing.

Nodding, I smiled and began winding my way through the piles of linens.
Towards one side, I found the purple ones. “Oh, I think these match,” I said, holding up a set with lace on the edges.

I brought the quilt over and held it up. "They do indeed. And the lace is a very pretty touch."

“Perhaps I should make sure the green ones have little swords embroidered on them or something, so Elliot doesn’t think all I want is girls,” I said, laughing.

I grinned. "The lace is rather one sided that way," I agreed. "But I don't the think the babe will mind much either way, at the least the fabric is soft."

“True,” I said, chuckling. I glanced around the pile and found some in a matching green as well. “Oh, it’s meant to be.”

"Then the babe shall have lace," I said with a laugh. "Besides, it's not as if you'll be dressing a boy in lace, Elliot can't really complain."

“In truth, I doubt Elliot will mind. He’s just so excited about the idea of a baby,” I said, chuckling. I took one each of the purple and green sheets, I would order the full sets up at the counter.

"I'm rather excited about the idea of a baby too," I said, chuckling myself. "I haven't had a baby to play with since my brother was born."

“It will be nice to have a baby around,” I agreed, my smile turning soft and my hand touching my belly gently.
Then I shook my head a little and smiled wider. “I think this will do it for here unless you see something else I have to buy,” I said, laughing.

I shook my head with a smile. "No, I think I did enough damage in the first shop," I replied.
