Wandering the Doorstep: Keegan and Nyx

[Nyx nó Cereus]

My arms went around him and I hugged him tightly, my head slipping forward to rest against his chest. "Having you here is better than wishing you were, even if the mood isn't the lightest," I told him determinedly. "You don't have to be sorry."

[Keegan nó Orchis]

I wrapped my arms around her in return, holding her tight.

“No wonder I love you,” I said, smiling.

[Nyx nó Cereus]

"I'm charming that way I guess," I said, smile in my voice at my most immodest statement.

[Keegan nó Orchis]

“You’re charming in very many ways,” I said, holding her closer. I hated that I had ruined even a bit of our time together, but I would beat myself up about it later. Now I would allow myself nothing but happy thoughts and the enjoyment of being with Nyx.

[Nyx nó Cereus]

"I think this is where I ask you to list them," I teased, hoping to get the mood lighter again. What I said had been true, any time was better than nothing, but lighter was more preferable.

[Keegan nó Orchis]

“Aren’t you the same person who called me a scoundrel for mentioning how you approved of me mostly when I was complimenting you?” I teased, grinning and letting my fingers tickle her side lightly.

[Nyx nó Cereus]

I giggled, squirming away from his fingers. "And I'll call you a scoundrel still, but now for other reasons," I teased right back.

[Keegan nó Orchis]

“Well,” I said, grinning and intensifying my tickling. “If you’re going to call me a scoundrel anyway I might as well earn it.”

[Nyx nó Cereus]

I squealed and tried - not to seriously - to wriggled away. "Scoundrel," I said in between giggles. "Rogue. Villain."

[Keegan nó Orchis]

We were getting curious looks from people passing by, but I paid them no attention.

“I confess, to all of those,” I said, grinning as I continued to tickle but also leaned in to nibble lightly at her neck.

[Nyx nó Cereus]

He was making it difficult to want to pull away, even as he didn't stop. I was laughing now, my squirming intensifying. Tickling was always that way. You could never tell if it felt good or not. Thoughts of playful revenge filled my mind, and my fingers found the backs of his knees.

[Keegan nó Orchis]

“Hey hey hey,” I said, laughing and releasing her as I dodged her fingers. “Truce! Truce!”

[Nyx nó Cereus]

I laughed at that. Memories of when I had learned where he was ticklish made me grin and my blood heat. "Just remember, I know your great weakness," I teased, trying to sound like a villain from a romance novella.

[Keegan nó Orchis]

“But my love, you are my greatest weakness,” I said with a smile, and then kissed her deeply.

[Nyx nó Cereus]

Greater than the back of the knees? I was going to exclaim, but then his mouth was on mine in a delicious fashion. I moaned softly instead, loving him and his taste.

[Keegan nó Orchis]

“I love you,” I whispered against her lips.

[Nyx nó Cereus]

"I love you too," I replied in a similar fashion, smiling. I ran a hand through his hair, mussing it.

[Keegan nó Orchis]

“Hey,” I said, laughing. “I spent like five seconds getting it to look right.”

[Nyx nó Cereus]

I laughed, then took both hands and shook his hair up, giggling all the while.

[Keegan nó Orchis]

“Fiend!” I cried and then made as if I was going to muss up her hair the same way.

[Nyx nó Cereus]

I grabbed his hands with mine. "Oh no you don't," I said laughing. "I spent a lot longer than five seconds on this." Leaning forward, I kissed him quickly.

[Keegan nó Orchis]

After the kiss broke, I tilted my head to the side and looked at her hair in disbelief. “You spent more than five seconds on that?” I teased.

[Nyx nó Cereus]

My hair was braided and pinned into a circlet about my head, which was less work in the long run than letting it hang free. "You have no idea," I replied with a laugh.

[Keegan nó Orchis]

I made another sound of disbelief and then chuckled. “I’ll have to just trust you then.”

[Nyx nó Cereus]

I laughed again. I brought our hands together and kissed his fingertips. "Please do. Maybe sometime you can help me take care of it."

[Keegan nó Orchis]

“I would like that,” I said, smiling and gently running my fingers over her hair.

[Nyx nó Cereus]

"Your arms will get tired though," I said with a smile, loving his tender caresses. "It's a lot of brushing."

[Keegan nó Orchis]

I flexed my muscles. “No worries, my lady, I have big strong manly arms that can brush for hours.”

[Nyx nó Cereus]

I laughed at his show. He always could make me laugh. "Perhaps I'll hire you to help with my hair then," I teased, finger tracing a line of the taut muscle. "And you can pamper me and my locks."

[Keegan nó Orchis]

“What’s the pay?” I asked, looking at her skeptically. “It better be good to put up with you.”
