Wandering the Doorstep: Keegan and Nyx

[Nyx nó Cereus]

"Here?" I asked, the tip of his nose. My voice was lowered, but still filled with fun.

[Keegan nó Orchis]

“Lower,” I breathed even more softly. What a sight we must be to those walking about, not that I cared.

[Nyx nó Cereus]

"Here?" I murmured, kissing his chin, a slight giggle escaping me. He still hadn't moved since his dramatic stagger over, only enough to breath his replies.

This time I didn’t even speak, just moaned wistfully.

I giggled again, then decided that I had teased both of us enough. Gently, then increasing the pressure, I kissed him on the lips.

Knowing that our very public venue would keep it from going beyond a kiss, I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her passionately.

I moaned softly against his mouth, loving the way he loved me. A hand went to his cheek and I stroked his skin lightly, kissing him right back.

[Keegan nó Orchis]

“I love you,” I whispered against her lips as the kiss ended.

[Nyx nó Cereus]

"And I love that you love me," I told him with a soft smile, still stroking his cheek. "And I love you too."

[Keegan nó Orchis]

Leaning into her caress, I smiled happily. “Shall we walk more or sit here and people watch?” I asked.

"Let's people watch," I replied with a smile, then went to sit down. "Scoot over, you're taking up the entire bench," I teased.

I pulled myself to more sitting-like position though my legs were still splayed before me. “And here I was hoping you’d sit on my lap,” I teased.

[Nyx nó Cereus]

"I would slide right off," I retorted with a grin, settling comfortably beside him. "And the ground looks dusty."

[Keegan nó Orchis]

“This is to keep random strangers from just sitting on me,” I told her, sounding logical – or at least trying to. “I would make myself more comfortable for you.”

[Nyx nó Cereus]

"That's not very nice to the strangers though, letting them slide into the dust like that," I said, trying to keep from laughing as I took his and and guided his arm around my waist.

[Keegan nó Orchis]

I pulled her closer to me once my arm was around her. “They should find their own bench.”

[Nyx nó Cereus]

"What about sharing? Did they not teach you that at Orchis?" I asked, starting to giggle and completely ignoring the fact that there were benches scattered about, and all but ours was empty.

[Keegan nó Orchis]

“No, or if they do I missed that class,” I said, chuckling.

[Nyx nó Cereus]

I giggled once more. "I can just see the ten year old you, sneaking around Orchis, trying to skip class," I told him. "What other classes did you skip?"

[Keegan nó Orchis]

“I never skipped…I just missed some because no one informed me of them,” I said, managing to keep a straight face.

[Nyx nó Cereus]

I laughed at that. "I don't believe you for a second mister," I informed him with a grin. "If no one informed you, then you stuffed your ears full of cotton."

[Keegan nó Orchis]

“You wound me again, madam. I will not survive to make it home,” I said, pouting.

[Nyx nó Cereus]

"Aww," I said at his cute little pout, then leaned in and kissed it away.

[Keegan nó Orchis]

Instantly my only thoughts were of the feel and taste of her. Gods this was so unfair, I wanted her so badly. This wasn’t just lust, I loved her, and shouldn’t I be rewarded for that?

He was tense, and I pulled back to see what was wrong. There was a shadow on his face. When did this stop being fun?

"Keegan?" I ventured.

[Keegan nó Orchis]

“Sorry,” I said softly, shamed that she’d felt my tension. “You’re just so damn erotic.”

[Nyx nó Cereus]

I stroked his cheek softly. "I'm sorry my love. I wish there was a way."

[Keegan nó Orchis]

“I know, I’m not blaming you, I swear,” I told her, my voice soft but honest. “It’s just seems so unfair. In a land sprung up from the right to love we seem to be being punished for doing just that.”

[Nyx nó Cereus]

I didn't know what to say. I agreed with him, and not, all at the same time. I rested my head on his shoulder. "Yes, it seems we are," I finally whispered.

[Keegan nó Orchis]

“Ah love, I’m sorry,” I said, kissing the top of her head. “Perhaps I’m not as Orchis as we thought, for I sure know how to ruin the fun.”
