I chuckled softly feeling a flush.
"I hope so." I said as we continued to walk.

Looking over at him, I asked, "What is the most interesting thing you've seen in the City so far?"

"I'm not sure." I said thinking for a moment. "I want to say you but I don't want too trite." I chuckled softly.

Laughing lightly as I flushed, I said, "That's too easy of an answer- it should be something you have to think about."

I chuckled in return. "Alright." I said thinking. "The Night Court." I said nervously. "Its beautiful."

Nodding in agreement, I said, "And from what I hear, the insides of the houses are even lovelier. Eglantine was very nice when I went for my fitting."

I smiled. "I've never been inside the Night Court." I said reluctantly. "I've heard great things." Smiling I winked teasingly.

I was finally getting to the point that I didn't flush every time he teased me. "I think everyone has, that's the point of them," I teased back. "Though I've only been to get the one gown made. Besides, you will be going soon, what with Midwinter coming up- the entire Night Court will be there, and you'll be in Cereus House. I wonder how the inside of that house is different than Eglantine."

I nodded in agreement. "I could only speculate," I said turn a corner. "I'm sure its vast and beautiful though."

"I don't think it could be in the Night Court and not have that," I said with a grin. "Especially not the First House. It wouldn't make any sense."

I chuckled softly. "True." I was happy that things between us were less tense, any nervousness I had had faded and I felt more at ease with Lessa.

Now that I was less aware of the little faux-pas I had been making, conversation was much easier. Hopefully I wouldn't mess it up again any time soon. "If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would it be?" I asked, trying to keep the discussion moving.

"Nubia?" I said and then though. "There are so many dieseases." I said then realized how strange that sounded. "I mean." I shook my head. "Forgive me, I'm afraid medicine is quite my life."

Laughing lightly, I said, "I understand- we know places by what they mean to us, or how they fit into our lives. I tend to know places by their cultures rather than the geography or available resourses. Your art is medicine, so that is how you classify things. It makes sense to me."

For a moment I had the distinct feeling that this man was terribly misunderstood and I patten his arm softly. "You're welcome," I said in an equally quiet tone.

For a moment I was suprised, but I hit it behind my expression of speculation, brow raised. "There's nothing to forgive," I said matter-of-factly. "You may ask any time you wish and most likely," my grin turned shy, "I will let you. In fact, I am positive I would let you."

I smiled and unhooked her arm from mine and bowed over it placing a soft kiss on the top of it as my thumb brushed over her delicate wrist.

A flush quietly rose on my cheeks as I felt the skin tingle where he had come in contact with it. mentally, I knew this was next to nothing in the ways that some things went, but considering my personal inexperience it was all relatively new and pleasant. As his thumb grazed my wrist I bit back a gasp and kept my expression the same, though what my eyes said I had no clue. Oh Elua, do I like being touched, I thought mutely as I fought to slow my pulse.
