I smiled nodding. "You're welcome." I said shyly and then continued to guide us down the street.

For a few moments we walked in silence as I picked up a petal and pushed it into the hair behind my ear- I'd always loved to do that- and then I turned to him and said with a smile, "Tell me something about yourself, something I don't know."

I looked back to her and chuckled. "That would probably be alot unless you've been stalking me." I said impishly.
"My parents are both deceased." I said after a moment of silence.

"I'm sorry," I said in sympathy. "My mother died andit was the worst thing that's ever happened to me- I can't imagine losing my father as well."

Smiling, I thought quickly. "If I could change one thing about my face, it would be my nose," I said with a grin. "I always thought it looked as though it didn't fit."

"I don't know," I said with a grin. "I'm not good at asking questions, only answering them. Did you have any pets when you were a child? Do you have any pets now?"

Chuckling at the question of inconsequence I shook my head.
"I'm afraid I never did. Its not that I don't like them, my tutoring was just far more important. Riva had a rat once though, it almost killed my parents but she loved it like it was a part of our family." I chuckled at the thought.

"I've never been good with animals, so any pets I had were an alley cat or three I adopted from the barn when I was younger. I'd go to the aerie and watch the hawks sometimes though. They always interested me, because they were never really tame," I tried to explain. "I got to handle a couple of the smaller ones, but I could never make them bring anything back."

"I'm not sure I have a very good reason," I said with a light laugh. "They just always looked interesting to me. As I got a little older I learned more about them, but they still seem like a mystery. No one knows why they act like they do, and they get to see any land they wish."

It made sense in a way and I nodded. "Noble creatures indeed and their own masters."
"Who's turn is it?" I asked after a moment.

"Ok," I looked at her and smiled. "The first time I saw you I thought you the most beautiful woman ever." I felt a bit of a blush at the for sure.

His cheeks tinted a very becoming pink, but I was sure I blushed the color of a red rose in the sun. part of me wondered if he did this on purpose, just to watch me turn from pink to pale as many times as possible. I had to bite my lower lip to contain a silly twitter of giggles as I said, "Thank you," and offered the ineffectual rebuttal of, "I thought you looked shy and mysterious, but very charming, as I've said before."

"You make fine first impressions, just not the ones everyone would expect," I said honestly. "But people should never be judged wholly on first impressions anyway. There are too many variables in the human nature for a person to think they can see them all in a split second of time. That's what I was always taught."

Teasing back lightly, I responded, "I don't know about wise, but well-educated certainly. Wisdom comes with age and experience and I have neither in great amounts."

"No, I don't think so," I said confidently. "Just because one doesn't have a reason for thinking a certain way doesn't make it incorrect. Otherwise, faith and religion wouldn't work, and neither would hope. Your definition of wise, what you see when you think of the word, and mine may just be different, and then neither one of us would be wrong."

Flushing slightly, I nodded in understanding. "I know it must sound interesting the way I say it, but to me it's all common sense. I guess that's why I don't notice. Other people's ideas and thoughts sound much more intelligent to me than my own."
