I was some what depressed from the night of the Coronation. Gabriel had given me quite a ride but I felt some what...well I didn't really know what I felt. I began walking through the clothier's district looking for something to wear.

It was all very nice, spending an afternoon at Eglantine, but when it was all said and done, I still had no gown.
Completely uninterested in going through the bustle a second time, I made my way to the clothier's district, intent on finding something for the wedding. I'd left in late morning, wearing something comfortable of subtle green.
More grounded after my talk with Aaliyah, but still lost in my thoughts, I barely realized I was walking by another adept, a very pretty blonde who looked somewhat innocent and abashed. Smiling at her, I nodded in salutation.

I must not have been paying attention because when I looked over and saw another adept nod to me I jumped right into a rubish container being used by a vendor. "Terribly sorry." I said in almost a stutter to the man who simply shook his head and shooed me away from his wares; probably assuming I would break them with me incompetance.

Both amused and feeling for her, I saw the scene, and could not repress a disapproving look to the vendor. Poor thing, she was stuttering apologies in her slippers, and he shooed her away like a worthless bug. That was unbelievably unkind of him, and had I been more agressive in nature, I might have said something.
Instead, I gave her my hand to help her out of the place she had stumbled into, grumbling something about manners to the merchant. Smiling kindly at my fellow adept, I said, "Don't mind him, he's just being protective of his livelihood, no matter how gruffly. Besides, I distracted you, I apologize."

I took her hand gratefully and once steadied I glanced back at the vendor and then the girl standing in front of me. I smiled with a deep blush and tucked a long strand of hair behind my ear before clasping my hands in front of my, my gaze down as was my normal demeanor.
"It was my fault really, apparently I wasn't taught any grace by my house." It was more in jest then anything, I was simply an ungraceful creature. "No need to appologize." I added.

The wedding was approaching and I has contracted an adept for the festivities but had not given much thought to attire either for her or myself. So with a mild interest I had made my way to the Clothier's District to brows. At that time a commotion near me caught my attention and I watched two ladies. The blond had managed to step into a rubbish container and had thus caused a bit of a commotion. So I paused in my browsing to watch the events as they unfolded.

"Oh, don't say that, you are very pretty," I told her, "and I'm sure you don't fall all the time."
She was averting her eyes - Valerian, I expected. "I'm Geraldine, by the way."
There was an itching sensation on the back of my neck, and I scratched myself absently.

"Celesta," I replied smiling. I happen to glance of Geraldine's shoulder to a see a man watching us. "I think I caused a scene." I said blushing.

They both looked in my direction and I felt a little tingle when the blond's eyes passed over me. That told me a bit. Then a straightened up and walked to a booth near them and began looking over leather clothing. A predatory smile creasing my lips in the process.

At Celesta's words, I turned, and looked directly for the source of that tingling sensation.
My eyes took him in, and immediately, I knew his blood.
Shahrizai. Aramis came to mind - he had been surly, but delicious in bed. He seemed to be ignoring us, but his smile was tell-tale.
"I don't think you caused a scene, Celesta, I think you have an admirer," I whispered to her with a chuckle.

I could see that Geraldine had recognized the breeding of the man that watched us, I remembered Gabriel well enough and I wasn't sure if I wanted to repeat the experience so soon after the first.
"I'm sure," I said with a soft sigh. "They can smell a Valerian a hundred yards away." I said with a slightly sly smile.

The scent of leather filled my nostrils and I enjoyed it. Leather was one of the odors I enjoyed the most and I began looking over the feminine section starting with the breeches. I slid a hand into my back pocket and pulled out a scrap of parchment and checked it then slid it back and headed toward the smalled sizes. This all sent a series of thought through my head that made the smile on my features bloom even further. Ah, life was good!
I cast my gaze toward the odd pair and watched them a second. I knew what the one was of course I could feel it. The other I had no idea really bu they seemed a strange couple. I then picked up a pair of breeches in black supple leather with a thong to lace the fly. They were cut to hug curves and tapper at the ankle perfect.

"I figured they could identify your House," I replied with an amused smile, "but I had no idea that it was through smell."
Whimsically, I paid more attention to my olfactory senses a split instant - it was figurative, certainly, because Celesta did not smell at all like Seanna or Christophe - not that I could tell, anyway. In fact, they each had a distinctive scent of their own, just like everyone else. Celesta, I noted, exuded a faint smell of lilac - and it fitted her, she looked... innocent.
Besides, I was certain that the Kusheline in the stall ahead was definitely not better endowed than i was in that area.
It all amused me very much, indeed.

I chuckled happily at the response but kept my eye on the Shahrizai incase he make a move this way. I wanted to be prepared for anything.
"I think its a prey and predator thing." I said still some what amusedly. "One way or another..." I said trailing off but smiling to Geraldine.

"... it always comed down to it, doesn't it?" I asked quietly.
There was something about her... "Would you like us to get going? I was off to hunt a gown, and I find myself in the middle of another hunt. If you'd like to stay, and maybe gain a patron, I will leave. If you want me to stick around and protect you," I made a gesture of self defence that was ridiculous - Gods, Aaliyah was rubbing off on me.
That man - he was very, very handsome. But he gave me a little shiver of dread - others mayhap were brave enough to fray with such people, but I, I was always afraid. Somehow, he seemed more predatory than Aramis.

I of course noted the reaction I caused and it made me smile as it warmed my soul. Then I turned my attention to Douleur's attire for the event. Soon a pair of soft leather breeches were picked out. Soft to the touch and black of color they were cut to hug her small figure and accent curves in all the right ways with a tapering leg and a low cut waist all held by draw string.
After that selection I stayed with the same vendor and worked with Douleur's measurements. A top with lace up front also in black leather was selected. Well if you could call it a top. It would barely cover her bosom and would leave large expanses of her flesh exposed. The last item on the shopping list for my adept of that evening was a matching black collar set with D-rings in front and back. No shoes were selected as I wanted her unshod.
Pleased I grinned and prepared to tend my own attire. Glancing toward the other two adepts now that I was less involved in the trading. The smell of fresh leather heady to me in the booth.

I glanced gingerly toward him wondering if he was looking for an assignation or simply admiring the wares. Either way I was comfortable with Geraldine's company.
"I'm in not too worried about protection." I said with a demure smile. "But I would enjoy company." I glanced to him again knowing that if he wanted contact with me, be Shahrizai and all, that he would seek me out if he truely wanted.

I laughed, "I'm glad you aren't because I don't think I would stand much of a chance against him, regardless of the fact that I am almost his heigth," I replied.
The fact that he was rather happy with our attention was glowing off of him like glistening water on a duck's back, and it annoyed me a little. I guess I'd never completely forgiven Aramis for his surly ways with me, and it transferred to that man, whom I assumed was undoubtedly his cousin. His manners in bed had been sublime, but afterwards... I suppressed a small grunt at the recollection.
"I think we should ignore him, and let him follow us... then we can decide. After all, it's not a Kusheline lord that will make me not shop. I do need a gown for that wedding, and I imagine you're out shopping too," I concluded with a reflective sigh.
Oh, but I was so happy I'd been contracted. The knowledge that I would get my marque up was heartening, but not as much as the thought that it gave me an excuse to see Darien again.
Besides, I'd been blessed with a sublime patron. Those thoughts planted in me the idea that perhaps it would be kind, to do my shopping expediently, and leave them to each other - she seemed attracted to him like a moth to a flame, and he... unless I'd missed my guess, he was playing the crying game. I figured perhaps that kind of happiness would be welcomed by Celesta, should he want to contract her.
I'd see about it - I did like Celesta, and wanted to get to know her.

My own attire was quickly selected, breeches and a shirt to match all in black and in soft leather as well. Though I would go shod I already had a suitable pair of boots. I also selected a long crimson ribbon to tie my hair back and for the final affect there was my belt. It held a silver snap on each end and would fit nicely into the rings on the collar doubling as a leash for any who were clever enough to note it.
Once my purchases were packaged I set about to follow the pair as they were amusing me and I could brows along the way. This all gave me a break from the confusion of matters close to the heart and I was sure would ultimately make me more pleasant to be around. Besides I enjoyed stalking. If the whim struck me I might even send Douleur's portion of the package to Valerian along with the blond.

I smiled with a soft and quiet giggle. "I think I like that idea." I said shyly with another glance to the man that's gaze seemed to follow us of its own accord.

"I'm glad you do," I replied, giggling in turn, turning my attention away from him completely - all to Celesta's benefit.
There was a shop just a step away, and I turned my gaze to the window, where a gown of purple lace whose bustier was delicate and lovely, the skirt perfect in its intricate layers of fabrics, little ribbons on the corset of darker silk a sublime detail. I turned my eyes to Celesta, and said, "I've never bothered with purples. Do you think the color would suit me?"

I giggled nervously. "I..I'm not sure, I'm not really good with colours." I said softly. "I'm afraid I barely know what looks good on me." I couldn't help but glance back at the man again wondering what he was playing at.

I noticed the blonde's attention, but by this point I had tired of the game and thus altered my course to take me away from the two women. And I headed on my own way the opposite direction up the street leaving them to their shopping in peace.

"What you are wearing suits you perfectly," I told her gently. Her eye was still busy, fussing with that man, and I couldn't resist turning my head, only in time to see his tall and predatory form walk off in the distance. I sighed. "Well, there goes your potential patron," I said softly, "Although, you never know what to expect with their kind," I added wistfully, relief washing over me.

I sighed a little, a slight pang in my chest as the now none prospective patron went on his way. It seemed I wasn't having any luck in the department of patrons and I wondered how long it would be before I was able to take an assignation again. In truth, and this was what worried me, it wasn't so much the lack of progress on my marque, it was the need to have some one take me, to dominate me. I wanted to feel the pleasure of a patron exerting their force on my and the climax that would soon follow. I turned back to Geraldine and smiled though saddly. "Oh well." I said with a shrug then looked at some of the colours of gowns. "I like red." I said some what absently. "But I think you'd look better in a green." I shrugged again, what did I know.

I couldn't resist it. My hand went to Celesta's and I took it, trying to catch her eye. "He probably had something else to do, love. You are beautiful, and lovely, and I have no doubt one of his kind could hardly resist contracting you," I told her gently, but sincerely.
The dress would have to wait. I liked her, and her gentle ways. I hated to see her so sad.

I was slightly uncomfortable with her forwardness, I didn't pull away but I hardly knew her and she treated me as though we were long time friends...It was most definately not something I was used to.
"I'm sure." I said trying to smile brighter so that she would not feel the need to cheer me up. If it was one thing I hated it was people having pitty on me. I had enough for myself I didn't need others feeling sorry for me as well. "What about the gown, what do you think?" I said trying to take my mind off of what had happened.

My hand was removed, and my eyes turned back towards the dress as I smiled, "I think I'd like to try it on," I replied, "though I'll try to steer clear of green, for the sake of diversity... I was wearing green at the Coronation. What of you? Red?"

I smiled in return to Geraldine, I hoped that she hadn't taken what I said in a negative manner. I liked her but as a Valerian I was unaccustomed to kindness. I chuckled at what she said about green. "I think you'll look wonderful in purple." I said then looked back at the gown in the window. "I think I'll try a red gown." I said with a shrug.
