"I would like to spend more time with you, whether or not we stay here," I said, trying to soothe his nervousness and my own. "I just don't know what else there is to do in this City, with it being so different from my own."

I smiled. "Then perhaps a walk around the city." I said softly. "And dinner at my town home."

For a moment I was a little worried- I wasn't ready to go too far with this man, no matter how charming he was. Could I trust him to keep those boundaries? Was I willing to chance it? Well, the walk couldn't hurt anything, and dinner didn't necessarily mean anything more than that. I would try trusting him.
Smiling as softly as his voice sounded, I said, "That sounds like a good plan, as long as you're not already tired of me and asking out of politeness."

I shook my head.
"Not possible." I said with a smile as our plates were bused and the server returned.
"Is there anything else I can get my lord and lady this evening?" I shook my head.
"No thank you, just the bill." He nodded and handed it to me. I took the coin from my purse and placed it on the table and looked back to Lessandrie.
"Ready?" I asked standing and offering my arm.

Standing, I brushed my gown straight and then took his arm. With a sideways look I nodded and said, "Certainly," with a sweet smile; inwardly I was hoping I hadn't decided to do something irreparably stupid.
