I chuckled at the back and forth banter of Fisher and Selwyn until I noticed Fisher's gaze move to a woman of possible high standing. I looked at her closely, that or a Dahlia or Camellia.
"She's beautiful." I said absently as I looked back to Fisher, the bar maid returning to take our orders.
"I'll have the lamb," I have her my menu and smiled looking to Selwyn. "Selwyn?"

The feeling of eyes on me was intense and I looked about, meeting a very familiar face, which caused me to smile, though wanly, and cock my head sideways in askance. After all,I didn't want to interrupt his evening with the other guys.

"I'll have the sea bass, thank you," I told the maid, as I looked over at the woman. "A friend of yours?" I asked Fisher.

I returned Allisande's smile.
"Yes, she is actually. She's an adept at Dahlia, would either of you mind if I invited her over?" I replied.

I narrowed my eyes at the girl. "Allisande?" I said looking to Fisher. "Of course not." I chuckled thinking that I hadn't recognized her before.

I nodded at Xavier's question, wondering what he knew of her.
Then I looked back at Allisande and pointed to her, then to the empty chair at our table, my eyebrows rising in question.

With a nod of acknowledgement and thanks I made my way over and sat down with a warm smile for everyone. "thank you all for being so kind as to let me join you," I said, then spared Ryan a small look and took a sip of wine. "I trust I haven't interrupted."

"I just threatened to tell all their secrets if they didn't let you join us," I said to Allisande, grinning.
"Allisande no Dahlia, this is Xavier and Selwyn, both of Balm," I said by way of introduction, indicating each man.

Smiling and nodding in understanding I replied, "Well, if you're not busy I may just have to see about getting another massage at your hands one of these days."

I had watching and listening to the interplay between Xavier and Allisande, my fingers pressing hard into my cider cup as I wondered how they knew each other. A massage… I wasn't sure if that made it any better than the other things I had been thinking.
Leaning back in my chair, I took a drink of cider and forced myself to relax.

Fisher was tensing up; cautiously I looked at him. "Penny for your thoughts?" I murmured.

I looked at Selwyn and grinned. "A penny?" I murmured back. "Make it ten and then maybe we have a deal." Nothing like falling back into House habits to ease my tension.

For a moment my expression was unreadable as I noticed Ryan's responses and knew that Xavier had seen them as well. The Balm adept was a very good masseur, but other than that there was nothing in the slightest between us. Still, I knew it would only shame Fisher to bring it up, so I relaxed myself when he stopped thinking about it.

"Ten pennies?" I said in mock horror. "You'll drive me into debt. One penny and a free massage." But by that time Fisher had relaxed, and I was glad his temper had eased.

"You need to start charging more for your massages," I told Selwyn with a wink, then took another drink of cider.

"Nothing is less fleeting than money. In the right hands that is," I said, wiggling my fingers at Selwyn.
I looked back at Xavier and Allisande, able to control the swirl of emotions now.

My attention was beginning to wander as Xavier and Allisande chatted, and Selwyn had grown quiet. Letting my gaze roam, it fell upon the group of men I had been eyeing before. They were at a game of dice now and I could feel my palms itching.
Sighing internally, I focused on those around me again.

Nodding in understanding at Xavier's words I then turned to Ryan, realizing I hadn't heard his voice for a few moments. "And what of you these past few days?" I asked him, eyes on his.
