"Oh!" I exclaimed as I looked up. With the talking and walking I had almost lost track of where we were. "Um... right there actually!" I said with a giggle as I pointed at the store we would be entering. "Thank you for reminding me it seems I nearly forgot," I said with a smile though I felt my cheeks heat slightly in my mild embarassment. "It is a fairly new shoppe," I said as we approached it, "and I find that the newer shoppes tend to want to please their customers more. I am pretty sure we will find everything we need, and at a decent price, too."

My eyes wandered to the shop, my smile turning into a lazy one of observation. "Well it sounds perfect then." I walked over and held the door open for her and followed her inside.

I laughed softly as we walked over and he opened the door for me. i walked through the doorway with a grin on my face. I took a deep breath as I looked around, the familiar objects hanging on the wall, crossbows, long bows, spears, netting, so many things that made me feel a stab of longing, in the pit of my stomach, that signified nostalgia. For one of the very few times, I was made painfully aware of missing home. I shook the melancholy from me though, and reminded myself that this was not the time for such thoughts, that we were planning for a very enjoyable time ahead, and I fell back into my old self.
"Alright... where on earth should we start," I mused out loud, turning to face Guy.

I looked around at all the equipment and smiled, it almost reminded me of an armory. Then I looked over at Faolan and shrugged. "Well I don't really know. We should stock up on arrows, I need a new bow. Supplies to last the night should the weather get bad..."

I nodded at every one of his suggestions as my eyes scanned the place for the desired items. "Alright, well let us start with the bow then," I said with a smile. I had my own that I had brought with me from Alba, but there was nothing more beautiful than a well crafted bow. I nodded my head towards the wall where they hung. "Long bow, short bow or cross bow?" I asked, glancing from Guy to the wall and back at him again.

I followed her, considering what option would be best. "Well, I've never used a long bow before, so short bow and cross bow for myself," I said, glancing at her and then to the weapons.

I smiled at his choices. Cross bows always held more power, though they were harder to aim. I nodded as we walked to the counter. "It is so tempting to want ot purchase another bow," I said as I looked up, my eyes spanning across the wall at the various items, "but perhaps I will just purchase some steel tipped arrows and bring the bow I already have," I said with a grin. "Which bow catches your fancy?" I asked. "I do not know about you, but before I purchase one I like to always hold it in my hands, feel it, see if it works well with my body and the tension of the drawback with the strength of my hand."

I nodded in agreement while my eyes scanned the possibilities. "Indeed." I picked up a sleek looking crossbow with a head of a leopard in front. It felt comfortable, almost perfectly so, as if it were an extension of my arm and hand. Easy pick. The short bow was a little more difficult. "If you already told me, I apologize, but what brought you to Terre D'Ange anyway?"

I watched as he picked up the crossbow, and held it in his hand, seeming pleased with it. I smiled. There was just something so settling about finding the right weapon, and watching someone else do the same.
"Ah well, in its simplest form," I said with a soft smile, "the reason I came here was for knowledge. A very particular and specific sort of knowledge, but knowledge regardless."

I tilted my head. "Oh? What sort of knowledge? If you don't mind my asking." I hoped I had not crossed a line of sorts. I would hate to have offended her.

He asked, and I felt a slight sense of panic. "I um.. well," I stuttered as I looked about me, hoping that there would be some sort of clue how to respond without really giving away all my information, "well I was looking intothe gifts of the Tsingani people," I said wtih a smile. "They are a very interesting group of people, are they not?" I said, smiiling now. It was true, and not true, but enough truth that it was not an outright lie.

I could tell at once that it was something I should not have asked. She was smiling though and it gave me some comfort. "I see. Well have you stumbled upon many of these Tsingani? I myself have only met a few and I don't see why anyone would want to learn from them."

I pouted softly for a moment. "No, I have not not yet anyways... then again, I have not been searching in earnest. It is one of those topics that I do not want to know about, yet I do want to know about it. As you know, we have seers in Alba as well. So the topic hits rather close to home. Otherwise, I would really have no reason for seeking them out. I am not even sure that seeking them out is that great of an idea." I sighed a bit, smiling adly, but smiling nonetheless. "It is a rather long and complicated story," I explained.

I simply nodded to her with ,"I see." I would not press the issue any more.
Once I selected a bow that I felt would serve me well I turned my attention back to Faolan. "Now what shall we get?"

My smile became stronger as he dropped the topic and instead opicked up a bow he had chosen, asking me wht was next. I pouted thoughtfully, my eyes wandering to the ceiling as I pondered.
"Hmmm well we need to choose arrows., of course. What good is a bow without a strong set of arrows," I said with a smile, letting my eyes fall back to his. "We will also need a few sharp knives, some rope, buckets, horse fodder, canteens," I said as I thought and listed off the items. "And whatever else we might see...," then I broke off, "oh and of course gaming bags to take home whatever we hunt." I smiled. "Anything I've left out thus far?"

I shook my head as we walked a few step down to wear the arrows were. "Not that I can think of."
I selected two types of arrows, one for small and one for large game. "A lot of people must think this a silly idea: going hunting in the middle of winter like this, and just two people with minimal servants."

I shuckled as he picked out his arros and I did the same. They were finely crafted, steel tipped and beautiful. "Oh I have no doubt, but those who would do not understand the excitement of the hunt. Winter makes it that much more interesting," I said as I inspected one of the tips more closely and put it back for finding a flaw, plucking out another, "what with the snow on the ground, and following prints, the crisp air," I grinned, just thinknig about it made me feel alive and free. "We should probably pick up some dried provisions, and some brandy, just in case," I added as a side note. I walked over one isle, and sighted the rope. I ran my fingers over the twined smoothness of it. I looked up at Guy. "I am sorry I am like a child in a sweets shoppe," I said, chuckling lightly.

With each statement I nodded. "Oh certainly. If the fire will not warm us, no doubt the drink will. I must admit I do not drink often, but hunting parties are certainly one of those times in which I do."
I followed her over to the rope, I myself admiring the craftsmanship of it. When she commented about being as a child in a candy shoppe I could not keep from laughing. "It's good that we can have at least one area in our lives that we never grow up in regards to," I replied, smiling warmly.

I nodded in agreement. "Oh what horrible an existence we would have if there wasn't!" I exclaimed as I tested the strengths of teh various ropes, felt them, saw which ones frayed easily from friction and which ones didnt. "And as for the drink," I laughed soflty, feeling my cheeks heat just a little, "I am Alban. We are known to hold our own quite well," I said with a wry grin before laughing at myself. "So is hunting the thing that makes you feel as carefree as a chid again?" I asked as I picked a wrope and started to lead out meters of it, wrapping it over my hand and under my elbow as I did.

I shrugged, shaking my head ever so slightly. "Not exactly." I looked down. "You may laugh at me for this, but it is actually reading." I laughed a little myself. "Adventure stories mainly. It's a sort of escape." I could only wondered what she now thought of me.

I did not laugh, but I did smile. "Mhmm I understand that. It is like escaping into a completely different world. If you get a good book it... what is the word," I blushed as my d'Angeline failed me in my excitement, "it.. transforms? No... it transports you, yes? To the world you are reading about," I said with a smile, wondering if I had hit the nail on the head.

I smirked. "Yes, that is correct. They have been my love since childhood. They inspired me to become a soldier, the best soldier that I could possibly be. I also found nature to fascinate me. So my love of hunting is an offshoot of it."

I quirked a brow at him. "Reading inspired you to be a soldier? Why a soldier and not, say, a scholar?" I asked as I perused some netting.

I shook my head slightly and chuckled. "It is the stories that inspired me, not the books themselves. I have never liked a textbook, or any such dry reading," I replied as I fingered the roll of netting next to her.

I smiled, "neither have I. My interest could never be held by a textbook. It took the sheer force of will power to get through some of them," I stated with a giggle. I watched as he touched the netting. "Think this will do? Or will we need stronger?"

I continued to finger the netting as she spoke. "Well, it seems a bit week, perhaps a little stronger; price is not really much of an issue."

I turned on my heel and nearly knocked into him. "But, that would not be terribly fair at all to you! I would be enjoying the hunt as much as you, and using the goods, I could not have that," I said softly. It was my Alban pride coming through, and though it was not necessarily teh most becoming trait I had, I could not help it. Even if my own coin purse was limited, I could not sit there and have him pay for everything.

I took a quick step back. "Well yes, however you are a guest and as your host I should be in charge of the expenses. Please, allow me to pay." I could already tell that she would insist and insist again and I would have to allow her to pay for some of the costs.
