I felt terrible for the way I had nearly accosted him, and so I sighed, hanging my head slightly. "Alright, but only if you insist and only if you let me send for a gift for you from Alba," I said with a smile. At least this way he was not totally at a loss.

I grinned at her. "I insist." I walked past her a little to another, stronger roll of netting. "This looks like it will be much better than that other stuff, don't you agree?"

He was happy to have won out that little war, and I smiled at him, laughing softly before following him over to the net he was touching. I took it between my fingers, felt the thick rope of it, and then took it between both of my hands and pulled heartily to see if any fraying would occur. Nothing gave and I smiled. "I think you are right, great choice," I said with another laugh. I picked up some of it for when we would make our order at the front desk for the other things we would not be able to carry on us right now.
"And perhaps some canvas bags to carry our provisions in, that we can tie to the saddles of our mounts?"

I nodded and looked around to see what direction they would be in. "I think they're over there." I said, pointing to some casks on our right.

I walked in the direction he had pointed, looking at the various items along the way, including canteens. "Oh will we need these?" I asked. "I have a few back at the palace, so perhaps we could just bring our own, instead of purchasing new ones?"

I looked at the canteens and shook my head. "No need in buying new things when we have perfectly good ones already. It's not like we're going to be gone a year." I laughed and then glanced at some boots, shaking my head again. "I think we're basically done, other than the feed bags."

"If only!" I said with a grin. To go on a year-long hunting trip would be marvelous. I stopped daydreaming, though, and brought my attention back to the matter at hand. "Right. I think I saw some over that way," I said, pointing closer to the back of the store, "when we first came in," I smiled and started to walk my way over, rope and netting in my hands.

I grabbed the weapons and followed her back to the far edge of the store where, sure enough, the feed bags were all piled up in a barrel. "Well it looks like you were right." I grinned and reached out and sorted through the barrel, making sure the two that I selected had no holes. "These look good. Now perhaps we best pay for these things before we're tempted into purchasing the entire store?" I smirked and playfully nudged her.

He reached into the barrel with hsi free hand, and sorted through the chaff to find the wheat, so to speak, finding two good bags. I smiled, laughing at his jest. "Well at least you would be prepared for any and all impromptu hunting trips for many years to come," I teased as I walked towards the counter.

We arrived at the counter and I pulled the money bag from the satchel at my side, waiting for the clerk to tally up the cost. When he had done so I paid him and gathered everything up.
As we were leaving I turned to Faolan. "So, when do we want to begin this hunt, time place etcetera?"

Guy paid and although a part of my pride felt a little hurt, another part of me was endeared to him for the gesture. He gahered the purchases and we headed outside.
"Place and time..." I murmured, moer to myself than to Guy as I contemplated the question. "Where is good for hunting, now, close but not too close to the City, and when are you available?" I asked him. "And... do you want me to carry anything?" I asked with a smile. It was not that I did not believe he could carry it all without much effort, it was more that I did not want to just stand there without asking.

I just shrugged. "I'm not familiar with the city, so we'll have to ask around. As for when. I have no current responsibilities, so I could conceivably go tomorrow." I grinned at the thought of it before adding, "No, I have everything." It wasn't all that much and I was glad to carry it.

I smiled at his readiness and my smile widened with excitement.
"Tomorrow would be excellent," I beamed. "Bright and early in the morning. As for where...," I continued to think as we walked. "perhaps we should ask around? Maybe go back to the shop, perhaps the shopkeep would know."

I stopped and thought it over. "Me might...At the same time the idea of riding haphazardly into the winter woods sounds wonderful, though quite unsafe." I shrugged and chuckled a little at the notion. "What do you think?"

"Hmmm," I mused with a slightly impish smile. "I vote for the riding haphazardly into the woods and seeing what we come up on. If you have a map of the lands, we should be fine regardless of where we go. Plus my natural affinity for direction has come back, so I am fairly certain I could pick our way out once we got in," I grinned widely now, excited by the idea.

My smile widened as I considered the adventure that awaited us. "Sounds excellent! Tomorrow, bright and early, meet outside this store," I told her with a nod afterward.

I nodded in response, the grin on my face must have looked rather silly.
"Tomorrow then! I think I shall head back to the palace to make ready."
