I shushed her softly as I reached gingerly across the carriage to caress her locks. "Shh, now don't cry, tis no one's fault for anything Josie," I said softly. "We have not fought much, and yes, we did a bit today, but no siblings are without there little tiffs. We still love each other, tis nothing big. And people change, as times change, and people grow. I do not think we will grow apart. And I am sorry for not having seen you much. That was my fault entirely, and I will be sure not to get so darned caught up in myself next time," I said as I caressed her locks softly. "You ar my little sister, Josie, my only little sister, and I love you dearly," I said with all the earnestness I could muster, "and I do not want anything to put a riff inbetween us," I said with a soft smile. "You mean more to me than all the dart games, and card games, perfumes or meals in the world, more than all the gold ducats in the queen's treasury," I said with a smile. "Please don't be sad."

I moved over to sit beside him, burying my face in his shoulder as I cried. “I want to go home,” I said.

"Okay Josie, let's go home," I whispered as she sat beside me and cried on my shoulder. I was not disappointed, I was only sad I could not make her happy again. I rapped on the wall of the carriage behind the driver until he slowed to a stop. He peered in through the window and I explained that we wished to be taken home instead. He was fine, though he did look a tad worried. I knew Josie would not want to be seen like this, so it was good that my body shielded her from his eyes as he nodded and I felt the carriage shake as he mounted it again and started to turn us around. "We will be home soon, dear," I whispered as I let my fingers caress through her locks. "I'm sorry."

It was probably good that Luc hadn’t understood that I meant home home. I shook as I tried to stop crying, not having much luck at it. I pressed tighter against his shoulder, wishing we’d never come and that I hadn’t ruined everything.

I did not know what to do! She cried, and I understood she was upset but, I did not know how to comfort her, so I held her close and caressed her hair, hoping that that might help.

“I’m sorry,” I said finally, pulling my face away from his now tearstained shirt and wiping at my eyes. “I’ve ruined today as well.”

"No, no you haven't," I whispered with a sad smile as I wiped at the moisture under her eyes, gently. "It is not ruined, we had a lovely lunch and did a little bit of shopping and now we are heading on home," I said with a smile. I was trying to bring her mind from the bad points in the day. They were not important when you weighed them against the fun that we did have.

I didn’t argue with him, not because I agreed but because I wasn’t up to arguing any more.
“Thank you for the anklet, I really do love it Luc,” I said softly.

I smiled softly. "I am glad you do, I think it suits you perfectly."

“I think so too,” I said. I leaned in and kissed his cheek. “Thank you.”

"Aww," I said softly, patting her hand and rubbing it with my thumb, "twas nothing. You know I enjoy treating you to things," I said with a smile.

“I know,” I said, smiling a little. The carriage turned into our drive and slowed as it pulled up to the house. “We’re here.”

I smiled as we pulled up and tried to hide a yawn... though I failed. "You know, I could do for a nap right about now," I said with a chuckle.

“I think I’ll take a bath,” I said. The carriage stopped. “I’ll see you at dinner then.”

I smiled at her as the carriage stopped and patted her shoulder gently with a nod. "Yes, dinner. I think I will definitely be taking that nap. I had fun today, Josie," I said with a grin as the carriage door was opened. I hopped down and offered Josie my hand to do the same.

“So did I,” I said as I took his hand and stepped down. It was true; I had had fun at times.
“I’ll see you at dinner,” I said, then kissed his cheek and headed inside.

I nodded with a smile as she went off into the house. I stayed back a moment by the carriage, giving her a head start before walking up behind her and heading up to my room for my well earned nap.
