I smiled, imagining him in a creative fervor. "Well, all you need is someone to look after you when you are in such a mood. It sounds like your sister has filled the role nicely thus far." I took another bite, and another sip, then added, "I have to tell you, I admire that though. I mean, I have a great imagination, but I don't have any artistic talent. I am constantly amazed at the things of beauty I've seen people create. Like the chimes you made me, for instance."

I hung my head at the compliment, smiling from ear to ear, and my cheeks heating. Damn it! How did she do that? I raised my head and looked into her eyes. "Thank you. And I am sure that you have some sort of talent, I mean other than somehow making me of all people blush!" I laughed a short laugh of disbelief. "Come on, let's brainstorm then. In what kinds of ways are you creative, and what have you already tried?"

"You look handsome with a little rose in your cheeks." I teased, realizing belatedly that one could take that two ways and giggling softly. I managed to pull a straight face to think about what he said next. "Hmm, well I'm creative in thinking up stories... like I said, I have a good imagination. I've tried needlepoint, have I mentioned I hated it? And then there's painting, Blessed Elua, it's frightening how bad I am at that. Dancing is out, I'm passable but not that good." I canted my head to one side. "What's left?"

I laughed, rolling my eyes at her appraisal of a blushing man. "Well, there's writing, poetry, since you are good at thinking up stories, there's writing music, maybe if you can't play a lyre, or piano, or flute, you could write lyrics... especially if you know other languages, and even if you don't. You could work on developing your dancing skills, since you have enough that you are 'passable'."

"Oh, I can write some prose, but my poetry sounds as if it was written by a lovesick 12 year old." I laughed. "Face it, not everyone is meant to create. Some of us are just around to admire the works of others." I went to take another bite of my tortiere and realized that I had eaten it all. I set my fork down and then gave Luc a smile. "Perhaps you can help me try out some areas I haven't tried yet."

I still had some tortiere left, mainly because I had been keeping my mouth open, blabbing on and on, and I noticed her reach for more of her own, and her empty plate preventing that. I speared a forkful of my own, and brought the fork to her lips, nodding to it, silently telling her to take the bite.
"Well, I would be honoured to help, Sophine, in any way that I can." I smiled at her a little flirtatiously, then cleared my throat. "If you like to admire works of art, maybe you should study them?" I asked as another option.

I took the proffered bite with a grin. "Thank you. My sister would be mortified that I managed to polish off not only my food but some of yours too." I leaned back and patted my stomach. One thing about me - I could eat as much as I wanted and still look like a rail.
"Oh, I would love to study art, actually. I'm trying to get Dyan to let me attend classes at the Academy, and that's one of the subjects I'm interested in. What about you, any subjects that interest you besides woodworking?"

I laughed as she leaned back, relaxing and patting a stomach that looked as flat as it did when she walked in. "I like art history, history, and languages, though I have never done well with languages. I play a decent lyre but nothing phenomenal. I think my main thing is wood. It keeps me rather busy and satisfied," I thought on my words and nearly choked on my laughter.

I giggled as well, picking up the play on words. "I'm sure I know plenty of people who would say the same." I said, laughing. I picked up my fork and fiddled with it. "Really, that's the best endorsement for wood I've heard."

I laughed long, and loud, and hard, doubling over to catch my breath. "If I hear people chanting that throughout the streets, you are in so much trouble!" I said with another chuckle, and then started right back into the full bellied laughter I thought I had suppessed. "Oh sweet Namaah," I sighed, catching my breath. I looked to her, fork still in hand. "Well, I know they have a rather extensive dessert menu here, if you are feeling indulgent," I said with a smile, "although my earlier offer still stands," I grinned rather wolfishly at her.

His laughter was contagious and soon I was laughing too. I had to stop and wipe a tear from my eye. "Oh that would be hilarious, don't you think?"
I knew Dyan would frown on it, but I loved sweets. "Dessert sounds amazing." And lest I hurt his feelings, I also added, "As does your earlier offer." I grinned and winked at him. "So, what is good here for dessert?"

"Well that depends on what you like," I said with a wink. "Do you like fruit, cakes, things that are soft, crunchy, crusty, you name it, they've got it. They make a delicious french pudding.... it is the most decadent, smooth, rich chocolate mousse type cake you will ever taste. It is almost as good as sex. Almost."

"Ooooh," I said, practically drooling. "Let's have that! We can share one, if you like." I licked my lips in anticipation. "I love chocolate, but then, are there women who don't?" Almost as good as sex? Well, my one sexual experience hadn't been as wonderful as I'd heard it was supposed to be, so I hoped the dessert fared better.

I smiled. "I think not. But I love chocolate, and I'd like to think myself a rather masculine man," I said with a laugh. The waitress came to take our empty plates, and I indicated our choice in dessert, and that we'd like to share one. She looked at us rather warmly, and smiled. When she turned her back I rolled my eyes and brought my gaze back to Sophine, picking up my glass of wine absently and sipping it. "Is there anything else edible that you find delectable? I should have brought a scroll to write these things down," I murmured absently, but with a joking smile.

"Oh, I'm not picky. My sister says that one day I will be as big as a house, but I've decided that's a risk I'm willing to take." I leaned forward, placing my elbow on the table (even though I knew it was bad manners) and resting my chin in my hand. "And you, if I were taking notes, what is the most important thing I should write down?"

"That I am very easily pleased, but not as easy to impress. Luckilly for you though, it seems you've done both in the span of half a meal. A record at that!"

I flushed, this time with pleasure. "I do my best, my lord." I said, demurely, but with laughter tugging at the corners of my lips and behind my eyes. "I can't take all the credit, you make it easy."
Before I could say more, out dessert was brought out, chocolatey and delicious, with two forks.
"Anything else I can do for you two?"
I shook my head, "I'm allright." I looked to Luc. "You?"

"Oh no," I said looking to Sophine. "I have everything I need here at this table, thank you." I didn't even notice when the waitress left. I picked up my fork, taking off a small piece and putting it before her lips. "I want to be responsible for your first taste of heaven," I whispered with a flirtatious smile.

I liked his choice of words, but before I could think of a witty retort, the taste of chocolate was on my tongue. "Oh. Blessed. Elua." I said, closing my eyes. "That is amazing." I licked my lips and then reached for my fork, getting a bite and putting it to his lips. "Turnabout is fair play, your turn." I said, smiling softly.

Her reaction was exactly as I thought it would be, and somewhat more. If tasting chocolate could make her look so seductive...
I smiled as she put the fork before me. I leaned forward, mouth open and took the bite. Letting the flavours dance along my tongue, in my mouth, I felt the chocolate melt into a decadent mess of rich, sweet, dark chocolate goodness. I let out a soft moan, savouring the flavour before opening my eyes. "I told you, was I right or was I right?"

I nodded, half mesmerized watching him taste the chocolate. "When you are right, you are right." I said, softly. "I shall have to ask your advice on more topics." I reached my fork down and got myself a bite this time. Gods, it was so good, I almost felt like I should be alone eating it. For a moment, as the chocolate melted in my mouth, so sinfully delicious, I nearly forgot where I was. "Honestly, is there something addictive in this?" I asked, opening eyes I hadn't even realized I'd closed.

I smiled at her, my eyes heavy-lidded with decadent pleasure. "I often thought that myself. It is my one guilty pleasure... or maybe one of my many guilty pleasures. But, I do not think it has anything in it other than smooth, rich, glorious chocolate," I said with a soft laugh, taking another bite from my fork. "But it is nice to have someone to share it with me. it is so rich I usually eat it in instalments."

I nodded. "Oh, I can imagine. As delicious as this is, I couldn't eat the entire thing by myself." Or could I? "Now that you've turned me on to this, I'll definitely be back." I took another sweet, delicious bite, then smiled. "Well, I don't know if it's better than sex," actually, it was better than the sex I'd had, "but it's definitely up there!" I thought about what he'd said regarding guilty pleasures, and I grinned at him. "So, what other guilty pleasures do you indulge, if I may ask?"

With the most serious face I could muster, I placed my fork down. "Sometimes, when I am alone," I said in a whisper, my brows knitting together, "I enjoy dressing in women's clothing." I held the face as long as I could, though the corners of my mouth began to twitch. I wanted to see her reaction before bursting out into raucous laughter.

I leaned forward as he prepared to make his confession, but when he did I sat back again. I blinked, opened my mouth to say something, then closed it again. What to say to that? When he started laughing, I grabbed my fork and flicked a bit of chocolate onto his nose, laughing as well. "You ass!" I said, tears coming to my eyes. "You completely had me!"

I laughed hard, and then harder when I felt the cool splat of chocolate on my nose, grabbing my sides, and bending over the table. I could barely breathe from the laughter and her reaction was priceless. Catching my breath, slowly but urely, I sighed, wiping my eyes. "Oh you should have seen your face. That, my dear, is one of my guity pleasures. Pranks. I had pulled one on my sister before we left for the City, but that did not go over so well," I said with a pained look, remembering how I had upset her. "But usually they aren't so bad." I let another chuckle out, rmemebering her face. "I will forever have your expression etched in my mind Sophine. Thank you," I murmured. Almost forgettingthe chooclate on my nose, I wiped it off with a finger, bringing it to my mouth and sucking the chocolate from it. "You're a good shot with that fork, maybe you should try weilding a weapon."

Our laughter was getting a little bit loud and as I wiped tears from my eyes, I could see the maitre'd giving us dirty looks. The chocolate throwing probably hadn't helped matters either. "Oh no..." I groaned, when he told me his true guilty pleasure. "Not another one!" I thought of Sandrine and her bucket of water, could I handle two friends who liked to play pranks?
His next words garnered a rather unladylike snort on my part. "Ha, you've not seen me at my needlepoint - at least with that needle I only get a little prick, with a sword someone could lose an eye!"

"What would a sword be doing that close to your eye?" I retorted wryly. I noticed the looks we were getting and so brought my voice down to a deep whisper.

I put my hands up in surrender and laughed. "Please, let us not find out the painful way." I laughed, lowering my hands. "You'd look good...." I stopped short of coming on rather strong, and instead, took another forkfull of the dessert.
