He seemed to brush it off, so I dropped it without much thought. "It was my pleasure Eduardo," I said, my smile warm and hinting at our kisses. I rose slowly and curtsied. "I hope you can keep me from my duties at a later point as well."

I watched her leave then sighed and sat again. It seems I just couldn’t understand d’Angeline women. I’d not expected anything more than the kisses we’d shared, but I certainly hadn’t expected her to leave right away. I just didn’t get it.
