“You are welcome to come,” I said, smiling at her. Then I took a couple steps toward the man.
“Pardon me, my lord.”

It was damn near impossible to not see the tall man walk to me, though in truth he didn't have much on me in height; if I was any judge, I'd say less than quarter of a hand. "May I help you?" I asked, pleased I got all the words out right on the first try. My accent was thick, I knew, but at least I was learning the language better than I had when I attended Beltane. I was curious where his foreign-looking woman was, but couldn't bring myself to look, not wishing him to think I was encroaching should they be a couple.

I smiled and followed.
Yes, handsome indeed. And his voice was heavy with an accent I had never heard before. It sounded like...Skaldic? Or may hap Flatlander. I had never heard either to be sure so I wouldn't know, but if I had I guess it would be from there. I blushed a little on the outside as I thought my thoughts on the inside, and gave him a happy smile, though he wasn't looking at me but Darien.

“Excuse me, I hope you don’t mind but I wanted to speak to you before I lost you in the crowd.” Not that it was likely. I offered him one of my cards. “My name is Darien Kachine. I’m a marquist and an artist. I was wondering if you would be interested in sitting for me.”

Ah, there she was. I saw her out of the corner of my eye and I looked at her, smiling and giving a second nod before turning my attention to the tall man when he began to speak. "Sitting for you?" I asked curiously as I accepted his card, looking it over. "For a painting, yes? Forgive me, I have not been in this country long; I'm Kjnaz Sergei Romanov, of Ruskovia."

I didn't recognize the title but when Darien spoke I curtsied. The name sounded familiar....Romanov...Romanov....Oh by the Gods! Wasn't the man engaged to the Queen of the same name? This couldn't be him could it...No, that man's name was Al-ex-i. Mayhap a brother? I kept my gaze down now after finding out his name. He was brother to the future King was he?
Though I was still unsure of the land he spoke of...this Ruskovia.

The couple I had been watching moved on toward a new face to the throng. Quiet an unmistakeabel one as well. It was another foriegn face. Until this I had not thought of the way our plague could have effected other countries even. I began to feel selfish for the frustration I'd harbored at not being able to begin my journy. Here I had been stewing the last few weeks about my own botched plans and for all I know these people are being kept from family and friends and partners not knowing if they would ever lay another kiss to thier beloved. Queen Sabrina's wisdom set in al well. I she had not set the traveling band this illnes could have spread across nations, not just a city. Eula be thanked for her good judgment. It gave me a swonderous idea. I got up from my resting place and headed to the booth I'd purused earlier in search of more incense. The lady working th booth smile, I'm sure it was not hard to remember me. Plus, I'm sure my purchase was going to make her day worth it.

I hadn't truly expected either he nor his woman to recognize my title; it was a far cry from the word they used here. When Darien bowed, my eyebrows rose, but my smile grew a little more; he was well learned, then.
"I am surprised you would want to paint me," I said, smiling kindly at him. "But I will not turn down so nice an offer. I am free tomorrow afternoon - is that too soon?"
A swirl of cloth caught my eye and I glanced over; the girl who had been by the tree was now shopping again. I'd no idea who she was, but the vendor seemed pleased by her presence. My gaze took in Dariens woman, nameless still, as I returned my attention back to him, noting how her eyes were down and her entire nature was submissive. Curious.

“Oh no, that would be wonderful,” I said, smiling wide and delighted he had agreed. It was then that I realized how rude I had been.
“Oh, please forgive my manners,” I said, stepping to the side slightly so I could introduce Lola. “This is Princessa Lola de las Aragonia. Princessa, this is Kjnaz Sergei Romanov.” I hoped I hadn’t butchered his title too much. I’d heard it at the coronation when the Queen had announced her betrothal, but not since until today.

I curtsied deeply again. "Its a pleasure my lord." I said smiling as I glanced up at him, pleased that I had been remembered by Darien. I had so many questions to ask him, about this Rus-ko-vi-a and where it was exactly. I had a thousand questions but I would not interupt the existing conversation between the two men. It wasn't my place after all.

After I had selected my assortment of incense, I gathered my basket of purchases and headed across the market. I was drawing near to the couple I had been watching earlier and the rather impressive third party. The man who had recently entered the market. I was unsure of him. He looked to be a man who could be rather impossing. Yet nothing of his body language inclined his mood to be anything but approachable. In fact the couple seemed to had no problem doing so and by thier actions I'd guess intorductions were made. I pondered on it as I drew closer. Looking for any sign of his thoughts. He did not look unhappy, or bothered or confused or hurried. He did not even appear to be shopping. I felt myself slow down to get a better glimpse. Always I considered myself very skilled at observation. Since I was young I've been able to read people, finish thier sentance, understand thier feelings and philosophies. This man was presenting me with quiet a conundrum. The women I could tell was curious, something about her reminded me of a childs innocence. The D'angeline I even belived I recognized as a marquiest. An acolyte gets to know thier faces through time working with adepts of the Night Court. Though I was not recalling his name, he seemed to be enjoying a somewhat normal day at the market. Still the other had me stumped. Stumped and staring quiet inquizativly.

Surprised flickered through me, and undoubtedly across my face as well, as Darien introduced his woman as a Princessa. I had not expected that, to say the least. "Princessa," I said, issuing a short, formal bow in greet. "It is a pleasure to meet the both of you."
My shoulders itched; I knew the feeling, having felt it enough times throughout my life. I smiled at both Darien and the Princessa Lola, hoping to not appear rude. "It is a nice day today, is it not? Much too nice to stay indoors, even if the end of the plague hangs in the air."
I glanced around as if looking at the trees and clouds, helping to support my words, but my eyes looked at the people as well. A half familiar face was pointed directly at me, and I looked at her as she looked at me, curious. She was young, but pretty, held in a way that screamed she was self-assured. I nodded at her in my usual silent greeting before turning back around, my brows moving to a slightly confused state. "Forgive me - do you know who that is?" I asked, indicating discreetly to the girl in the swirling cloth.

An acknowledgement... I smiled and bashfully bowed my head in response. Looking through my lashes as he turned back to address the gentelman marquist. Patients is a verture I was well endowed with. I decided this curious stranger was worth farther consideration. So I aimed to pass close by and browse the fresh flowers near by.

He glanced to the woman that I had glanced to earlier. "You are attracted to the same mariposa I was." I chuckled looking to the strange man. I smiled to Darien and gave a coy grin at having been asked the same question twice.
"She is beautiful enough to catch anyone's eye, no?" I asked Darien as I contiued to grin. It was apparent that the foreign man was quite taken with her.

“She’s lovely,” I agreed. “Those of Naamah’s temple are usually quite approachable should either or both of you wish to speak to her.”
My gaze flicked back down the row of stalls, thinking of what I would buy next.

I was fairly certain that the Rus-ko-vian would, I had interest in her but I decided that perhaps it would be better for me to visit the Temples where I could speak with her personally, ask the questions I desired. Also I wondered if Darien would feel unhappy or not being abandoned so easily. I would, and even if he didn't, I had come to emerge myself in D'Angeline faire and wanted to learn more.

Naamah. A mistress of the god whos followers believed in pleasuring all, who accepted money for it. I barely caught the saddened shake of my head before I did it; she was very beautiful. If only she hadn't been a follower...
Making sure my features were schooled in nothing but pleasantness, I nodded my head and looked up the row where Dariens head pointed. "I think not, for myself," I said politely. A woman held out a fox pelt towards our group in hopes of enticing one of us over, and I looked over the furs, missing the cold of home. It was stifling here, and would only get worse, as far as I was told.
"Have either of you gone fox hunting?" I asked, glancing at Darien first, then at the Princessa. They didn't appear to be together, I'd decided, and being royalty she deserved proper respect.

I knitted my brows a little surprised that he would not pursue her, I glanced to the girl and thought may hap if he wasn't going to, I would after all. I smiled to her and waved a little before turning to Sergei and Darien.
"Not I." I said softly. "Women are not permitted to hunt in Aragonia." I chuckled. "Very unlady like I think."

I was surprised when the Lady smiled and waved in my direction. She had caught my eye earlier yes, but I had missconcieved her for being more interested in the men. I nodded to her and turned to quickly pay the merchant for the flowers Ihad been admiring. They were a lovely combination of white and lavander folocs. They were always a favorite of mine. I drank in thier sent and turned back to approach her. "Good day, my lady. Were you gesturing to me?"

I turned my head a giggled a little as she spoke, my hand reaching up to cover my mouth a little. "Forgive me, I was just being polite." I said clasping my hands in front of me as I smiled to her. "These are my companions, Darien Kachine, Marquist. Kjnaz Sergei Romanov, of Ruskovia." I stumbled over the title that Darien had used. "And I am Princessa Lola de las Aragonia."

I gave a respectful curtsie to her at her title. I looked back up to her and smiled to show my pleasure. "Well met Princessa Lola. It is an honor. Though I may be bold for saying, but you need not offer your apology for politeness. It is a commendable trait." I paused to greet her companions. "Good day to you as well Kjnaz Romanov and M'lord Darien." I was slightly unsure of my address to Sergei. I knew nothing of his title. I was pleased to find Darien was a marquist though. I had thought him to be such. I do often have a hard time putting names to faces though. Especially at a distance. I turned my attention back to the Prinscessa agian. She was as timid a charming upclose, more so even. "Aragonia you say?" It was a vague question, I wanted to see where she would take that. I tilted my head slightly as I spoke, with intrest and curiousity.

I beamed at merely the sound of her voice. Accents always were always attractive to me. Her's was intoxication. When she had introduce herself her r's rolled out of her title like a dance. It was wonderful on the ears. I replied with a question in hopes to keep her in conversation a bit. "I do hope you have been well aquainted regardless of the city beign closed. There is so much to know of Terre d'Ange. We take great pride in our country as D'angelines. Have you enjoying yourself?"

I blushed a little at the way she smiled at me and felt warmth flush across my chest. "I've been enjoying myself very much," I said smiling to her. "The plague didn't put me off at all, it just meant acquainting myself with the place more. In fact I met the Queen's own personal Cassiline." I grinned at the remembrance of Emile, leaving out my impetuous kiss.
"I have desire to see more things though."

She was charming and sincere. I delighted in hearing she desired to know more. So I obliged her. "Princessa, I am an acolyte of Namaah's temple here in the citie's temple. If you do desire-( I paused breifly to emphasize the word)- to learn more, I would be happy to help. I would like nothing more then to share our philosophies with you."
I changed my expressin to a mildly offensive one. The cat who caught the canary's crooked grin flashed quicklly before I brought my recently purchased flowers up for a brief indulgance.
She was a very intreging personality. Perhaps it was her heritage, I had never actually met an Aragonian women and therefoer knew not what to expect.

The acolyte approached us and suddenly she and Lola were deep in conversation before I even had a chance to return the greeting.
I looked at the Ruskovian prince and shrugged slightly, conveying my bewilderment at so quickly being discarded from the conversation. My offer for him to accompany me was still there if he wished so I made move to step away and continue shopping.

I noticed the marquiest look to be quiet bewilderd. It donned on me how rude I had been. Not to mention I didn't want to let him leave without his due honor as well. He was of import to Namaah's order. His livelyhood was in honor to her. So I quickly offered him another greeting. "Though I suspect Missire Darien can tell you much of Namaah's blessings as well. It is quiet nice to meet you in person, you do Namaah such honor." I kept it short and sincere. Then offered my apologies to them all. "Forgive me if I have intruded on your day. It was a pleasure to meet you all. Missire Darien, Kjezan Romanov and you Princessa Lola. I you find yourself in need of more understanding or would like to see the Temple of Namaah, please seek me there. My name is Astrede Murain." I gave them an acolyte's bow. As we do at the temple in greeting and farewell. "Namaah Bless you."
