"I should hope so," I said, a teasing look coming onto my face. "I'd like to meet the man who took away my possible bride."

"As long you promise no sword fighting to try and rid yourself of competition," I said, grinning.

I laughed again. "I promise to try and not embarrass you in any sort of way," I said around a grin. "Besides, something tells me it wouldn't work with you."

"I don't know," I said, tilting my head slightly as if contemplating something. "There's something incredibly romantic about having two stunningly handsome men fighting over you."

I peered down at her, my expression light and jesting. "Well, if that's the case, perhaps I should come armed to the meeting. I wouldn't want to disappoint you, you know..."

"Probably best not to, Nic is rather comfortable with sword," I said, smiling. "I'd hate for him to have to kill my savior."

Placing my hand on my heart, I shook my head. "No faith - it's as if salt were poured into a wound."
Peering at her, I grinned. "You're probably right though, considering the fact that Jasmine will only allow me to learn so far." Reaching for the bottle of wine, I lifted it but an inch, inclining it softly towards her. "Would you like more?"

I shook my head slightly. "I had better not," I said with a smile. "It was delicious though, I will from here on out trust your judgment in wines completely."

I smiled softly, setting the bottle back upon the table. "I take it as a compliment," I said, downing the rest of my glass in a single swallow. "It's an open invitation, then, should you ever like to repeat this afternoon." My smile turned to a grin, and I looked to her eyes. "Or if you need someone to hold up a wall, for that matter."

"Careful, I may start looking for walls that need holding up just to be able to see you," I pointed out, chuckling.

"And I may happen to simply stand on random street corners from here on out for the slight chance you might pass by." Giving her coy grin, I slid my glass to the side, forsaking both the bottle and it.

"Then I shall have to go out wandering more often," I told him, smiling.

I smiled in return, envying a moment her Nic. "I hope you do," I said softly, my dark eyes searching out her own.
Reality chose to bite at that moment as the waitress returned to our table, asking if we needed another bottle of wine, or anything to eat. Looking from her to Leyna, I raised my brows some, wondering if perhaps she was in need of something else; I would not answer for her.

I shook my head slightly again. "Unfortunately, I should probably be going soon," I said, truly regretful.

I nodded before reaching into my pocket and passing a few coins to the waitress for her service and for the wine. "I thought perhaps you might," I said. "I'm grateful, though, that you agreed to come with me. It was a good deal of fun."

"Yes, it was," I agreed, completely honest. "Thank you, for the wine and the fun."

"Anytime," I said with a smile. They were universal words in departure, and though she hadn't stirred from her seat, I stood from mine and offered her my hand, giving aid should she want it to stand.

Taking his hand, I stood and smoothed my skirt. With another mischievous smile, I leaned in and kissed his cheek again. "Until next time."

We both were lucky I had a hold on my self control, for my instincts pushed me to catch up her cheek with my palm in a soft touch, to thread my fingers lightly through the outskirts of her hair. Truly she hadn't caught me off guard with the second kiss, and all my body urged me to do was what my lessons had taught.
Bowing deeply over the hand I still held, I kissed the back of her fingers once more, feeling my breath return to my face from the skin of her hand. "Until next time," I agreed with a smile as I straightened, letting her go. "Be safe, fair princess."

"May Elua keep you, brave savior," I said with a soft smile before turning and heading out to the street and back towards where I had left my carriage.

I stood for a moment after she walked out, not wanting to seem as if I were following. An interesting day when all was said and done to be sure, and with that thought, I headed out of the establishment, moving down the street with a long legged, easy pace.
