I liked that the handshake was firm. I didn't usually befriend adepts, but my recent experience with Riva had opened my mind, and I liked the man. "Will do," I said as I left, turning to take my own way. I turned, and made a little sign of goodbye before I cut the corner. More preparations awaited me, unfortunately.

I turned and headed home, whistling. I would ask Mala when I got home who exactly I had run into. It didn't truly matter, and it wouldn't change how I treated him, but I was curious.
