"That seems like quite a goal, but a good one," I replied with an easy smile, cocking my head slightly as I considered him. There was something very sweet about him, and it was endearing when coupled with his humor and sincerity. "And I wish you luck in that regard, because I've heard it can be a tricky thing to pin down at times." Part of what I wanted to learn while I was here was what exactly my heart wanted and expected, and if love came on the way then I would accept it, though I still thought of myself as too young to settle down at times.

I smiled softly at her reply glad that she hadn't rebuffed the idea of falling in love. "What about you?" I asked curiously. I liked Noemi and knew we would make good friends though I couldn't help but be male and wonder about other aspects of herself. Either way I kept those thoughts to a minimum and focused on just being friends with her since we both seemed to be in need of such a thing.

His question could have more than one meaning, but since I wasn't sure it was probably best to go with the most polite definition rather than a deeper one. "I'm here to learn more about what it is to be d'Angeline- at least in relation to the land itself. Since I've lived in Serenissima for so long it's a little bit of an adjustment and my parents thought it would be a good idea for me to see how different it is." I gave a light laugh at that and a wider smile before I sipped my tea. "Being a d'Angeline in Serenissima means people treat you a bit differently than the people who were born there, and here it's not quite the same." Of course it still was a little different since I was a Princess but I still hadn't mentioned that yet.

"That makes sense." I said after she had finished speaking. It was strange to be sitting here with a D'Angeline of full blood that wasn't used to our customs or culture. It was interesting though and I found myself even more interested in in Noemi because of it. It was if she was from a book from my studies, but not in such a cold scientific way, just a general curiosity. "Did you dislike it?" I asked then, my curiosity taking hold.

His question was a complicated one and I had to think on it for a moment, but I smiled and after a minute said, "No, I don't. I don't mind the chance to learn something new, and everyone in Serenissima was really nice for the most part. I'm lucky that everyone I've met here so far has been just as wonderful and given me a little bit of the benefit of the doubt." I took another sip of my tea and then set the cup back down. "If that's what you meant to ask, I mean."
