Elua, even my hands tingled with the touch of his lips and I flushed more brightly in reaction as I nodded in agreement. I couldn't deny that I wanted him as much as I hoped he wanted me, as much as his kiss and his touch had said. There was a tension between us, delightful and sweet, that said once freed our passions would be insatiable and sensual, gentle but intense. I couldn't help but long for it, and I didn't want to be sorry for that either.
Reluctantly I took a small step away from him as well though I left my hands in his, my eyes moving over his face and showing something of my feelings- I simply couldn't help myself. "What does that mean?" I asked in a quiet tone, a smile crossing my lips.

The term of endearment had simply slipped out, and now, now I had to translate it. But the look in her eyes, the smile that touched her lips... I knew I could say it. I knew that she wouldn't mock me. It was just my own customs that I had to overcome, for it was so soon in our courtship for me to call her such things.
"It is a name you call someone if you care by her. I think in D'Angeline you would say... sweetheart," I said, wanting to look down at the admission, but wanting to watch her reaction even more.

At his statement I blushed sincerely, smiling a bit wider even as I clasped his hand. I'd been called other things, and Simon had even said he'd loved me, but Fydor's words held such a tender sincerity and depth that they were far more wonderful by far. If he ever did grow to love me enough to tell me- gods, that had to be worth all of the waiting and the tension, every misunderstanding thus far. The hope of such a thing was in itself worth what had happened so far.
Smiling still I kissed the back of the hand I clasped. "Thank you," I told him, meaning it even as I began to lead him over toward the table. "Come on, dinner will get cold." My smile grew just a bit more playful at that.

I smiled, both from her reaction and from her teasing. She sparkled when she relaxed to joke, making her even more heavenly than before. And she already started out gorgeous. "It is my fault. I talk long in D'Angeline, because I must think of words," I replied, jesting in return as I followed her pulling hand.

"No, that's not your fault- I like your words and I spend too long listening to them," I replied in a soft tone, teasing just a bit as a blush spread over my cheeks. "You are the most wonderful speaker I've ever heard because what you say is honest and sweet."

Ah gods she was perfect. "I hope that you will listen long always," I replied with a soft, foolish smile. "For I always have more words than time to say them."

"Any time you would like me to I'll listen- about anything," I assured him, bringing my free hand up to brush his cheek for only a moment before dropping it again and looking over the table with a smile. "I apologize for not having anything more fancy to offer you, but I was a bit short-notice on informing the staff."

"I am not... hard about my food. I go on long rides, and we eat at fires in the forest at home," I said with a smile. "I am happy with not fancy, if I do not must cook." We reached the table, and so I held out a chair for her.
