Sabrie had informed me to send a message to Sabriel at the White Hart concerning the contract and my acceptance of it. Gracefully, eyes forward under the glances of the other patrons of the establishment I went up the stairs to his room, having been informed on entering of which one was his. Once I reached the door I straightened and knocked.

I turned towards the door at the quiet knock, standing from my seat where I had been reading. I opened the door to see the lovely face of Allisande, who I had so recently left.
“Hello again, Allisande. I hope you have good news.” I said, opening the door further to allow her inside should she wish it.

Smiling and nodding respectfully I swept into the room. "Of course, my lord- Sabrie knows that I know my own limits and abilities and trusts that. The assignation has been approved." Pulling out the contract I handed it to him calmly.

I found myself smiling, somehow greatly pleased. I took the contract from her and moved to a nearby table, signing it quickly. I rolled up the contract and handed it back to her.
“Please—no more ‘my lord’s. Call me Andros.” It was my middle name, but it would suffice for now.

"As you wish, Andros," I said, taking back the contract delicately and ensuring that I didn't crumble it. "What date and time do you wish this to take place?"

It was strange, this aura of all-business. I was used to things being much different in other countries. It was refreshing, but unfamiliar.
“As soon as possible.” I answered.

Smiling slightly I nodded. "I have tonight free if you wish and also the night after." Part of me was sincerely hoping for tonight, but an adept is at the beck and call of their patron, no more and no less. My time with Rannan had illustrated the sharp differences between those two seemingly similar experiences. Suddenly I was wishing I had worn a finer gown.

“Tonight would be fine.” I said, “What time should I arrive at Dahlia?”
I realized I was answering her quickly, knowing she could guess I was eager for this fight. I had been out of practice, but that wasn’t the only reason I wanted this. If someone were to ask me why, I honestly would be unable to answer. I only knew I wanted it, not the reasons why.

"Just after sunset- I'll need that much time to clear the salle," I said promptly. "Sabrie has allowed you private use of the training area for the entire night if you so wish." Part of me was wondering if this was really going to just be a fight. Passions run high with that sort of exertion. Then again, why choose an adept as a sparring partner. "Is there anything in particular that you would like available?"

“No, just what we had today.” I said, thinking she might not be used to such an undemanding patron. I guess I’m easily pleased. I gave her a small smile and moved to open the door for her. “I shall see you tonight, then.”

Inclining my head respectfully I smiled and walked through the door. "Until tonight then." Soft footfalls were the only sound besides the swishing of my gown as I walked down the stairs and back to Dahlia to prepare.
