I entered into the Cockeral after my assignation with Calista and found an empty table. I had been less then satisfied with it, though it was pleasurable, I left with strange feelings and I need to a stiff night of drinking. I sat and ordered a jug of ale, there I began to drank hoping to find my salvation there.

My brother was being more of a pill than normal, so I left him to do what he would, and headed out to spend some time with people I could actually understand.
I found myself in front of one of my favourite places in the City: the Cockeral. I headed inside with a small smile on my face.
Making my way through the crowded interior with the ease of long practice, I was met by a huge roar of a greeting by the barkeep.
"Juliette! Elua's balls, came home early! Here, here, let me get you a drink..."

It wasn't long before a young woman caught my attention, young but tried and a hint of familiarity. I tried to place her linage but couldn't in the darkness of the room so I simply watched and enjoyed my ale wondering why such a woman caught my eye.

Jostin couldn't get over the fact that I had returned to the City so quickly, and was fairly boisterous in his attempts to secure me a chair. Finally installed at a table, drink in hand, I shook him off, knowing he had pther patrons to attend to.
I found myself in a quieter corner, near a noble man alone with his drink. He was watching me, but was soon distracted by Marianne.
"Juliette!" She was fair squeeling, and I had to stop myself from flinching at the grating sound. She continued at a run, and I sat back to listen. "I had no idea you were back! I've been so lonely with you gone, and Joshua has been sulking because he wasn't able to get a kiss out of you. I tell him, my lips should be enough, but no! So I told him I'll just get a kiss from your brother, and he went all pale and started stuttering. I don't know what his problem is, your brother's cute enough. Oh but I just have so much to tell you..."

I watched an annoying woman bounce over to her and chuckled softly and shook my head. I had no use for a woman like that and her piercing voice, but I still watched the woman...Juliette.

She continued for a few more moments, before asking a question to allow herself to breathe. "...You are going to the Midwinter Masque right?"
I smiled. "Yes Marianne. And its good to see you too. How is Joshua, other than sulking because I left with his mission unfulfilled?"
"Oh he's fine. He brought home flowers last night, the sweetie." She miraculously paused, then laughed at our old joke. "Hey, not fair. What's your costume?"
"It's a secret." Well not really, but if I told Marianne, the whole City would know by sundown, and it would completely ruin the effect I planned to make.
She pouted. "Fine then, don't tell me. Oh! There's Joshua, got to run. Come see me, and tell me all the gossip from the masque!"
And like she came, she left, mercifully taking her squeels with her. I sat back, and took a long drink.
