Character Played By (the person in your avatar):Jospeh Gordon-Levitt
Name: Necthan Seith-Nun (Formerly Necthan D'Iz-Entre-Mer )
Title: N/A
Age: 25
Race (Lineage Origin): Half Alban, Half D’Angeline
Gender: Male
Height: 5’11
Home Province/Country: Alba/Azzale
Appearance (1-2 Paragraphs): There’s no doubt that the man is handsome, but not in the typical way of Terre D’Ange. His dark complexion suggests perhaps something foreign, slightly pale skin match strikingly with dark hair that is alternately slicked back, or allowed to fall in waves where it will. His eyes are two black storms that seem to be endless, turning with something deep and mesmerizing. He’s an average height and has a thin build with enough muscle to be attractive and a little intimidating when disrobed, but far from the hulking men of Alba he has lived among. His hands are smooth but there’s a bit of roughness around his neck and the hinting that a beard could be grown if he so desired.
Personality (1-2 Paragraphs): Necthan is a three-sided work of art. The first face one sees is kind and charming, is brief and spans the lifetime of a first impression. Sometimes about those eyes suggests something more, and perhaps it’s his eccentricity, forming new words out of thin air or rambling to avoid an issue. The third side is different and is deep and only surfaces under the strongest emotions, be they love or hate or fear. It is a power kept behind walls, a storm. It is raw passion that can make many tremble in fear or melt into his arms.
He is always willing to listen it seems, sincere it would appear. His laughs are either faint “heh’s” or outbursts of unbridled joy. When real emotion exists it is the extreme. When thought rules he’s just your ordinary gentleman
History (At least 2 detailed Paragraphs): Born of mixed blood on a stormy sea, a child came into the world. His mother was a fierce woman of Alba, blessed with strong features and exceptional beauty. She had a temper than could hush the greatest mob and a capacity to love than knew no limits. His father was a man of Terre D’Ange a soldier of Azzale as skilled in charm and words as he was in war. They met on the shores of alba and consummated their love on the banks of Naamah’s river. Now the dark Alban storm was being sent home with the child it produced. She named the babe Necthan and kept it safe among the woods and dales of her home. He grew up on bardsong and legends. At the age of nine he was taken back by a father who could produce no other heir. He was Necthan D'Iz-Entre-Mer now and was raised the way any boy of good breeding would be until the wild and untamed force in him was silenced and memories were locked away until all he knew of Alba was a storm and a song and something supernatural. When the time was right he was sent to Hellas to study. There he developed a skill for writing and rhetoric and a keen interest in the theatrical history of the land he was living in, as well as legend, myth, story and lore, not to mention wanting to remember and learn of his homeland, as well as mysticism. All these interests led him to sail for Menehket one summer, the last before his final year at University. But the storm followed him and there was a horrid shipwreck. News was sent home that Necthan was dead and his loss was mourned and forgotten and life went on.
Of course Necthan wasn’t dead, but the storm left him with a deathly fear of the sea. In this ancient land, however, he found what his heart desired and he engrossed himself in all things mystical and magical, developing a vague psychic ability that would grow with time. He also found he had the ability to weave spells and cast them on whom he may. He could be a strong magician, it was said, if he wished to be. After nearly two years he decided to return home, to his real home. He constructed an amulet of seawater encased in gold and set with the symbols of the gods Set and Nun, storm and rage, and the sea. He kept it close to his heart as he sailed, relying on it for strength. He used his new power to recover those old memories, slowly.
His return to Alba was spent reacquainting himself with the culture, speaking and thinking as they did, drawing on it to take up the occupation of a playwright. He changed his name to Necthan Seith-Nun, not a proper Alban name but he knew its meaning. When he was ready he returned to Terre D’Ange for the sake of profit. His plays always seemed to have a deep connection to the actors. He used his abilities to find their deepest struggles. Those who know seek him for his magical talents as well. He bottles up the full force of his power the same way he does his deepest emotions, letting them build and swell before pouring out in a storm of either creative talent, or rage and fury.
