[Dine-Raisa-Jess] Public Eye, part 2.

Shopping at L'Eventail with Raisa and Jessamine had been fun, lively, and we'd made for my salon arm in arm, like three friends. It had done me good, or rather, done me better, as I was already in an excellent mood when we'd witnessed the Eglantine show.

When we'd arrived, I'd given them a tour, and we'd made it to the little kitchen where food could be prepared individually. Contrary to other marqued adepts, I had made the choice not to keep any servants. It seemed to me that it was more intimate, for one, but also, I'd just started and feared I might not be able to stay afloat, if I had to pay a salary on top of my other expenses.

Food prepared amidst laughter and teasing, it was set on the table for us to enjoy. It was so beautiful, that the patio seemed to be the best option, and so it was that the three of us were sitting out, with plenty of food on the table. As I nibbled on a piece of finger food, I turned to the girls, grinning.

“Well,” I said, “I'll say, this is a lovely surprise. I'm so glad you were being loud in the Square, in retrospect. Otherwise, we might have never met!”

I smiled, "Yes, it's lucky we forgot ourselves. The one occassion that rudeness is actually quite beneficial."

I sipped my water and allowed myself to look around a little more. It had been lovely inside, and even lovelier out here.

"You've done a wonderful job with the place," and it was very well true considering she had started her own salon. "I've struck out on my own for years about now and I haven't even gotten around to properly furnishing the apartment I've moved into."

I laughed softly at what the girls said, "Don't let my Dowayne ever hear you say such things!" I teased lightly.

I nodded in agreement to what Raisa said, "Yes, it is quite a lovely place. How did you find such a lovely place?"

Then I turned to Raisa, "We definitely need to remedy that situation. When you are ready to purchase furniture, I will happily help with shopping."

Jessamine was hopping from subject to subject, like a happy, excited butterfly, and I smiled to myself, amused, letting the first topics be dropped, and focusing on the latter.

“I'll gladly volunteer my suppliers, if it's any assistance,” I replied. “It's rather a pain to find a good vendor in these times.”

[Raisa Valois]

I nodded at the reference she made towards the unrest brewing at the moment, but I did not want to dwell on that when everything seemed so pleasant here.

"Were your suppliers of Eglantine?" I asked, then generally added. "I know they're artisans and craftsmen but I wasn't sure if it extended beyond music, visuals and textiles and into things like interior design."

I hadn't met many Eglantine members, so I was curious to learn the answer to Raisa's question as well. I turned my attention to Geraldine, before taking a bite out of my plate of food.

I laughed lightly, and took a sip of wine. “Would that they were,” I replied as I reclined into my chair. “I'm afraid I am not so rich of yet,” I replied. “I purchased most of my furniture from a second hand dealer, further down the street. He has lovely things, Raisa, and you should visit, when you are ready to set up your own place.”

"I would like that very much," I smiled. "Perhaps you two can come with me to help find something affordable and pretty."

[Jessamine Verreuil nó Valerian]

I listened to the two girls speak about a second hand store and I nodded eagerly, "I'd love to help out. That sounds like it could be a lot of fun. We could even have a house warming party once everything is properly decorated." I threw the suggestion out there to see what they thought. It seemed like some of the people in the city had left, and I thought it might be a good idea to gather some close friends of ours and thank one another for the blessing of having one another.

“It all sounds lovely,” I agreed, grinning wide. “Something like this, but larger. I'm happy to help if you wish – in all earnest, since I've left Heliotrope, I've felt the need to meet a larger variety of people...”

[Raisa Valois]

I smiled. "I shall do so then, and I would love your help along the way."

When they mentioned a house warming party I laughed. "I'd need help with that, I have very little in the way of friends unless you count clientele so I can't say you'll get to meet a large variety of people."

[Jessamine Verreuil nó Valerian]

"I've met some people..." I mentioned in a attempt to add something to the conversation. I turned toward my plate and began eating quietly. I was glad that I had been able to get to know Raisa, and now Geraldine. Naamah had truly blessed me.
