Dearest Lady Judith de Montaigne,
Good day to you, m'lady. I hope that this letter find you well. I do not know if you remember me from Camlach, but I do remember visiting your family at one point when I was younger. My father, Constantin de Valliers, knew your family quite well. When I learned that you were in Elua, I hoped that we might have the opportunity to get to know one another. If you would be agreeable, I would enjoy the opportunity to court you. Would you be willing to have dinner with me at La Tonnelet in the Palace District? It would give me great pleasure to meet you there. My schedule is open, so whenever you are available will work for me. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Marquis Renard de Valliers House of Valliers, Camlach Son of Constantin de Valliers

A letter arrived for me most unexpectedly, and from another suitor no less. This one wrote the way I imagined he would speak, and I quickly penned a reply letting him know I would meet him at the restaurant in a fortnight.
