Gender: Female
Height: 5”5'
Home Province/Country: La Serenissima

PC Relatives:
Her sister-in-law, Yvonne de Somerville.
Appearance:
Silvana's hair is jet black, falling in loose curls around her face, though Serenissiman propriety demands that she keep it up in a bun. However, as she is self conscious about the mole on her right cheek, she always manages to keep loose strands of hair out of her bun, to frame her face and hide the mole.
Her eyes are a dark brown, close to black, framed by strong eyebrows which Silvana keeps in a clean shape meticulously. When she is happy, her eyes seem lighter, but when she is angry, her eyes give a new meaning to the expression “giving the dark eye”. Her figure is full but not plump, with generous breasts and wide hips, but a flat belly and delicate legs.
Silvana dresses in Serenissiman fashion, though of late, her dresses have become less stuffy and more airy.
Her habitual attire is demonstrate here.
Personality:
Silvana has a very strong personality. Stubborn, demanding, temperamental and fierce in both her affections and dislikes, she is a woman who can be one's greatest ally or greatest enemy. She holds grudges and rarely admits outright that she's wrong, but when she does, it's heartfelt. Her temperament is boiling – angry, she will break dishes and slap faces, happy, she will be very demonstrative, talking a lot, using terms of endearment and touching the other so as to express her appreciation.
However, she can have a calculating side: Silvana is a person with a lot of willpower, and by the strength of her self-determination, she can and will do what is necessary to achieve her plans. Thankfully, she has few of those, and they mostly concern her personal life, as she barely has a political agenda, though she could, if given a reason to develop one.
History:
Silvana was known as Silvana de Lucca, and is indeed descended in a direct patrilineal line from Lucius de Lucca, who had befriended Imriel de la Courcel. The youngest of a large family, she was married at the age of sixteen to the Conte Giovanni di Schio, a wealthy, childless and elderly Serenissiman noble in good terms both with the Doge and the Caerdiccan states. The last of his line, he treated her kindly enough, hoping to father an heir, though she never managed to love him. However, before she could conceive, Silvana was widowed in the following months of her honeymoon, after her husband fell off a horse and was injured lethally.
She mourned her husband publicly and followed all appropriate protocol, donning a gown of black for a year, covering her head and dressing her windows in black crepe. A year later, however, on the anniversary of her husband's death, Silvana's life returned to normal, and now the sole inheritor of her husband's title, she remained in La Serenissima to see to his affairs and be mentored by Giovanni's staff into her role as the Contessa di Schio. No longer bound to virginity for marriage, she indulged in a series of dalliances with young Serenissiman nobles, though none retained her attention for long.
Silvana found that she enjoyed the Serenissiman court, and though her visits to the Temple of Asherat were limited and perfunctory, she was generally well accepted and received, though her reputation for having a firey temper preceded her wherever she went. She got along bet with the D'Angeline court in La Serenissima, though her relationship with Victoire de Trevalion became strained when they started competing for Christien de la Courcel's favour. Silvana's story with Christien was one of secret notes and broken pride, with one pursuing the other and being denied, the other giving in until completion, until the pursuer apparently lost interest and became pursued themselves. Both exhausting and exhilarating, the story created strong feelings of loyalty between them both, which were however never truly acknowledged by either of them.
When Christien eventually left La Serenissima, leaving only a note behind, a whole set of porcelain plates was destroyed in Silvana's home, and she broiled an awful mood for weeks, until news of Christien's coma came. Torn between pride and passion, the Contessa eventually chose to travel to the city of Elua, telling herself she was coming for an explanation, though her motives, deep down, are far more noble than she is willing to admit.
