Character Played By: Matthew Fox
Name: Doctor Jerome de Guérisseur
Title: Captain (d'Angeline military)
Age: 33
Race (Lineage Origin): Eisandine
Gender: Male
Height: 6'1"
Home Province/Country: Eisande
Appearance:
Jerome keeps his hair close-cut against his skull so it stays out of his intense eyes while he's working and while he wears the usual uniform his sleeves are almost always rolled up to his elbows to keep them from getting into whatever wound he's working on. While he doesn't look quite as well-built as many of the soldiers he keeps himself in good shape and can easily carry other wounded from the battlefield as well as defend himself.
Personality:
In most situations Jerome is a calm, pleasant individual with an easy manner who laughs easily, often helping where he can, even if it's only to allow some of his fellow soldiers to rest and improving morale however he can. As soon as there is a serious situation though he shifts, becoming intensely serious and very blunt, seeking the most efficient way to save the lives and limbs of those damaged in battle. He tends to inspire confidence in those who work with him as well.
History:
Born into a family of the peerage with a father who was a doctor in the Eisandine Medical Academy Jerome showed an early aptitude with such things. Through his young life he trained intensively in both Eisande and Tiberium toward becoming a skilled doctor, learning internal medicine, surgery, first aid and even some herbalism during his studies. Once this was accomplished the idea of staying in one place, helping those whose most serious wounds generally amounted to broken bones didn't suit him any longer though. With some reluctance from his parents he joined the military instead, taking with him a reputation of being an Eisandine healer got him accepted into the medical unit where he proved his prowess and moved through the ranks. Even so he keeps his eye on his main goal, to save lives and keep the other soldiers as whole as possible in a situation where some doctors would rather saw off limbs than try to fix them.
