I left Heliotrope in a somewhat melancholy mood. I was truly happy for Noemi and Jourdan, they would have a wonderful time together. It was the other two girls, especially the dark haired one who had been so combative that had me feeling odd. What should have been a time of love and pleasure and the celebration of my patron goddess had become something combative and harsh.
I needed to find a release and way to wash away this mood before I went home. My feet took me to Night’s Doorstep and I let them pick my path as I wandered through the street, glancing here and there, waiting for something to draw me in.

For the most part the Night Court had been as quiet as ever, and even though I'd taken part in a tumbling act for a potential patron earlier that day he'd chosen another from the troupe to take for an assignation. I was glad for my teammate but nonetheless I was left with some hot blood and no way to release it save for taking the chance of breaking some rules. As a consolation prize to myself I'd decided to go down to the Doorstep and try to find something else to occupy my mind with. I'd had some success finding patrons there before so who knew what could happen? At least I'd be able to find something to drink.
With this in mind I'd found a clear bit of pavement and decided to throw something of an impromptu show. I was already warmed up from the show earlier so I simply gave the crowd a wide, impish smile and did a flip, landing on my hands and walking around on my fingertips for a few moments as I took a look around. A girl walked by, dark of hair and with enough soft curves to make me smile a bit wider, and I watched her for a moment before I moved closer and rolled back onto my feet again. "Why, hello there sweetness," I said to her in a cheerful tone. "Why so down? I hate seeing a sad girl, so why don't you tell me what I can do to amaze you instead?"

I’d noticed him walking on his fingertips, but before I could find a place to stop and watch the display, he was on his feet once more and speaking to me.
“You’ve already done a pretty good job of being amazing,” I said, unable and unwilling to stop the smile that tugged at the corners of my mouth. “That was very impressive, monsieur.”

She certainly was a pretty one, and her smile was bright, the light in her eyes a little mischievous, and I smiled wider to see all of it. The curves that her gown showed off didn't hurt the overall impression either. "Then I guess I should keep being my usual impressive self then," I replied with a wink, then did a small flip and landed on my hands again before looking back up at her and cocking my head slightly. "But if I stay like this too long I may go into an entirely unintentional tumble and that wouldn't be nearly so fun so I may have to change it up. What's your name, so I know who to dream about later?"

“Josette, or Josie if you prefer,” I said, grinning as I looked down to meet his gaze. “You know, one might think you assume that position just to get a peek up ladies’ skirts.” With a flick of my wrist, I teasingly lifted the edge of my skirt slightly, enough to give him a flask of my calf but no more.
“And what is your name, oh agile one, so I know who to dream about later?”

The lady joked and flipped up her skirts and I grinned for a moment even though I knew she only meant it in play. What little I did see was very promising though and my grin grew wider. "Only known me a minute and you've already got me figured, haven't you?" I jested back, violet eyes flashing in amusement and just a bit of enticement. "I'm called Bayard no' Eglantine and I hope if you dream of me it's something we can make a reality, beautiful girl."

I grinned at his name. “My friend and I were just contemplating the attraction of Eglantine tumblers the other day, it seems you are a dream come true, Bayard” I told him, letting his name linger on my tongue as I tasted it.
“As for dreams coming a reality, I think anything with you in that position is going to require a little privacy unless we want to spend the night in the cells of the City Guard.”

When she spoke of coincidence I chuckled. "And my friends and I are always talking about beautiful women so I guess it's a lucky day for both of us," I told her, then winked and gave her a good looking-over. Oh yes, there wasn't an inch of her I wouldn't be eager to explore, and once I was done with that I'd go back over her just to make sure I knew it all. And her next statement gave me the distinct idea she was thinking the same way. Leaning back I arched my body to land on my feet, then stood up and turned around to face her with an impish grin. "Why don't I hear what position you have me in so I can see if my idea matches."

I rather enjoyed the way his eyes moved over me, my skin tingling with anticipation.
Once he was on his feet again, I let my eyes move over him in much the same way before grinning and tilting my head a little to the side. “Do I have to pick just one position?” I asked. “I’m rather fond of them all.”
Still grinning, I held out my hand to him. “Take me back to Eglantine and I’ll show you just how fond, and perhaps you can show me a few new positions.”

There wasn't a modest bone in my body and as she looked me over I preened slightly, batting my lashes teasingly though the eyes over them smoldered with desire. I'd known Josie less than five minues but I already had a good impression of what she might have been like in bed and the fact that she wanted to go back to Eglantine made it all that much better. Maybe I'd finish the night exhaused with pleasure and exertion but that was the closest thing to bliss most people got to find.
"I'm not one to hold you back, my lady Josette," I told her in a low tone of my own, taking her hand and brushing my lips sensuously across the back of it before I drew her a little closer and put her fingers on my arm. We'd have looked completely polite except for how close we were standing. "And how could I call myself a tumbler if I couldn't pull out some surprises. Now to Eglantine, where I can show you exactly what I mean." Leaning closer I brushed a kiss against her ear, then began to walk with her in that direction.

In the short time I’d known him, Bayard had managed to completely erase any and all negative emotions that had been worming through me. Now, all I could think of was how badly I wanted to see him unclothed and to feel him against me.
My fingers tightened a little on his arm; I was more than eager to be at Eglantine already.
