Dearest Castiel,
I am so sorry to have to write this to you rather than speak to you in person, but something has come up suddenly, and I have to leave in a hurry. My oldest and dearest of childhood friends might be in grave peril, and I'm traveling with her brother, a Cassiline, to make sure she is alright.
I hope to be home soon with her, or at least knowing she is alright. I will miss you greatly.. I already do.

It wasn't much, but I didn't know what else to say. I made sure to include Guy was a Cassiline incase Castiel was prone to worry; Guy would protect me, I had no fears about that. I spritzed the letter lightly with my perfume before sealing it with a glob of wax, then set it out to be delivered to Castiels in the morning.
