The Comtesse had an emergancy, though I think what she defined as an emergancy and when everyone else did, were two very different things.
Apparently my mistress had forgotton that she needed me to pick up a variety of things in the Artisan's District, things like a bolt of cloth and a dress as well as a set of new slippers. Apparently she needed them by the morning and wouldn't accept me simply getting up early to fetch them. So instead I was out wandering the streets at night fall trying to do all the things she wanted me to do.
I had just exited the dress shop with a rather heavy box in hand when I ran into the back of some one.
"Hey! Watch it!" I booming voice slurred as a large dark haired man turned toward me. "Don't you have any manners whore?" He and his comrades turned to with, laughing drunkly as they did. Both had wandered out of a near by tavern and apparently had chosen this spot to dwell till they decided on where to get their next drink.
"Y..yes." I replied a bit worriedly. "Pardon me my lord, it was an honest mistake." I curtsied, holding the box awkwardly. "Please forgive me."
The group chuckled again and neared me, a gentleman coming up behind, one I hadn't even know was there until just that moment. "Mayhap we'll forgive you if you pat a toll." They laughed again as the surrounded my, the one who was speaking reached out and began to fondle a length of my hair. I flinched a little but didn't move to run, it wasn't the first time I'd had drunken bruts set upon me and I had learned that the more you struggle the more they got out of it. But that certainly didn't stop me from still feeling panick as the one behind me pressed a hand to my covered rear.
"You may have my money my lord, of course my lord." I said hoping that hearing that they would take their winnings and leave me be. Having to pay back the Comtesse was less of a humiliation to what they were doing right then.
"Do you hear that gentlemen, drinks are on the lady!" He exclaimed with a cheer and they all laughed again, but then he turned his eyes back to me, his hand still in my hair. "We'll take your money, but I'm afraid that won't be enough." He added with a grin as his hand slipped from my hair down my shoulder then around my waist where he began to untie the strings of my purse, his other hand slipped beneath my arm as I held the box and began to fondle my breast.
"Please don't." I began to softly beg, not wanting to call attention to the moment. I didn't want anyone fighting with me caught in the middle.
"Please don't what?" He asked, pocketing my coin purse as his hand roughly pinched my nipple and I cried out and dropped the box I was holding.

I was suited up and out doing my patrols. It was a wonderfully quiet night, other than the sounds of the occasional couple or orgy coming from under one of the rooftops. Sometimes, if I was lucky, I could even catch a glimpse of the action.
At the moment though I was simply wandering down an alley. Most people here were drunk so they didn't pay me too much mind. I heard some commotion and scurried over to have a look. There were three men robbing a woman, one of them seemingly in search of a bit more than just money. He'd be first to feel the scorpion's stinger. I pulled out my smaller crossbow and aimed for her thigh. I didn't want to completely castrate him, just let him know I could. And with that I let fly.

I hadn't been confronted with the three men long when an arrow appeared protruding from his thigh. I gasped as I looked down at wound before looking up at the man, his eyes bulging as he left me be to focus on his injury. The two other men crowded around him as he grunted and cried out in pain then as if we all thinking the same thing, our eyes scoured the area till we all found the source of the deadly instrument.
"What in Elua's name!" The one with the arrow in his thigh shouted at the man. "Get him!" He then commanded the other two attack the stranger that had appeared. I gasped, my hands going to my mouth as I watched, unsure what would happen.

The immediate goal was fulfilled. The bastards had left the girl alone. Now however they had seen me. No one has ever seen me before.
Quickly I reloaded my bow and shot one of them in the shoulder. The man fell. I grabbed the knife in my boot and threw it at the other and it cut out a good portion of his cheek. Good luck picking up ladies with that scar. I loaded the bow and gave him a similar wound. I found a board in the alley and simply ran over to Pokey Thigh and whopped him over the head.
I gave the other two the same treatment and went about writing up their crime and leaving them there for those to whom justice belongs.

I watched as the stranger dispatched of the three in a rather gruesome way before he stood then writting something. "Th...thank you kind sir." I said softly as I slowly picked up the box and the dropped purse he had taken from me. "H...how can I repay you?" I was afraid that this gentleman might be as bad as the three he had taken care of but at that same time he seemed to have done the act to protect me from harm.

I offered her my arm. "It is my duty. I simply ask that you allow me to escort you home, for you safety and my peace of mind."
It was then I had a chance to appraise her features. I liked what I saw.

I smiled gently after securing my purse I held the box in one arm and then slipped my arm around his. He seemed nice enough, and he had just saved me from a fate worse then death, so I didn't feel like I could simply dismiss him. "Yes, thank you." I said gently, my voice steadying as I gripped his arm. "I appreciate the help my lord." I wondered as to what "duty" he had meant but I wasn't quite ready to ask questions just yet. "My name is Alais no Fermat." I added.

I hadn't asked for her name and I took it as a sign of trust for her to tell me. "I'm known as the Scorpion. I simply want to keep the night streets safe for beautiful maidens as yourself." I smiled, though should could probably barely see it.
"How far is it home?" I asked.

The Scorpion? What a funny name.
"Oh... I... see." I replied, truly vexed at the events of the evening. "Uh... not far." I added remembering his question. "House Fermat in the West Borough," I stated. "Though I wouldn't call it home." I then muttered to myself under my breath.

I nodded, though I sensed something was not right. I did not want to press the matter however. "Then it is not a far walk," I said, my voice less gruff than it had been.
I glanced over my shoulder. "I have to do something like that about once a week it seems."

He looked back over his shoulder and I did the same, wondering if he thought we might be followed. "Do what?" I asked curiously. "Beat people up or stop ruffians from attacking innocent maids?"

I looked at her through my mask with an equal amount of curiosity. "The latter, but not that alone. There are thieves lurking about as well."
We turned a street corner and I glanced around quickly, making sure our presence wasn't too obvious.

Of course I had heard the rumours about the Skaldi and their raids against our people so I understood a need to be diligent when it came to those traveling beyond our borders. And I knew that the streets in the city could be rough some times, especially if you ventured to neighborhoods with a particularly high foreign element; those not form our country often took more liberties with the women who hung around those areas. But I wouldn't have thought things were that dangerous that a vigilante masked man with a cross bow was what the city needed.
"Who are you?" I some what blurted out the question, my mind turning over my thoughts enough to ask, though on second though I probably shouldn't have.

"No one of importance," I told her. It was the truth, though the way I said it might cause one to wonder. Indeed, I was simply an unemployed carriage driver who lived with his parents. There's nothing special or important in that whatsoever. "My name would mean nothing to you."

I was confused, but that wasn't something new to me. "Why?" I asked, still labouring under the wait for explaination. Why exactly was he doing what he was doing? Was he paid?

I took a deep breath, slightly annoyed with her questions. "Why is it not important? I'm not someone people know of. People don't have to be wealthy to do good, to stop crime do they? Soldiers and guards have their place, and I have mine."

His answer confused me even more and I stopped dead looking up at him. I just didn't understand why he would choose such a pay in life. Surely his parents had raised him to work hard and perhaps that one day he would be able to afford title. Then he would do fabulous things like be invited to court and meet new people. "But why?"

I stopped and glanced around, my voice softer. "I'd like to discuss this with you, but I'm not used to walking and talking at the same time. Maybe we could find a place to sit for a bit ... Or wait til you are safe at home? But to answer your question ... In the daylight I am simply a servant, raised to value truth and loyalty. At night I decided I want to keep people safe and punish wrong. I don't see what is hard to understand."

I looked back at him as he spoke, his words causing me to colour deeply in embarassment then even more as he questioned why I didn't understand him. I took my arm back and wrapped it around the box I was carrying, I don't even know why I had accepted his arm in the first place! "Forgive me," I said curtsying deeply as I ducked my gaze, I hadn't been diligent with my duties and now I had disgraced my house. "I... I didn't mean to offend, especially after you... after what you did for me." I kept my eyes lowered but glanced to him beneath my lashes. "It was so gracious of you..." I backed away slowly. "Please for..."
But before I could finish my sentance I tripped on broken cobble stone and stumbled backward onto my rear end. When I landed I let out and "oomph" as my legs fell askew, my skirts settling around my thighs as the mesh caul in my hair came loose and hair fell in my face. I felt my chest rise and fall as embarassment over came me and tears threated to spill over my lids. The worse part about it was the fact that I felt my nipples hardening beneath the cloth of my gown and as they bounced gently from the fall, they brushed against the course material causing them to be even more sensitive. The shame of it all made my heart race harder as I sat up, leaning onto my hands.

I instantly felt bad the moment she started to falter. I was about to apologize myself when she fall back, to suddenly for me to catch her.
To be honest, the way she fell made quite a picture, a very attractive one. I got down on my knees in front of her, right between her legs. "No, I'm the one who should apologize. You've done nothing." My eyes followed the movement of her chest and I slowly began leaning in until my lips were pressed against hers. I tilted my head and gave her a headspinningly passionate kiss.

I was about to break into a soft sob when he kneeled between my legs, my knees pressed gently together as my feet darted out in opposite directions. My sob instead turned to apprehension as I watched him, silent tears tumbling down my cheeks as I did. When he spoke my cheeks flamed even more despite any colouring I already bore, and when he leaned forward my legs opened without thought as he kissed me. I gasped against his lips as he kissed me caught some where between fear and want.

It was hard not to find a sense of guilty amusement in the opening of her legs. My focus was on prolonging the kiss however. When I did pull away I searched her expression. "I... I'm sorry, not for kissing you, but for scaring you in any way." I didn't close my mouth fully, my lips still parted a hair, longing to kiss her once more.

My breathing was quick as he pulled away and I blushed again as he looked at me, not apologizing for kissing me in the slightest. That was when I noticed how my legs where spread, my knees bent gently so that my skirts bunched around my waist and I felt the cool air of the night caress my nether region. I looked away then, shame taking hold of me so deeply as I felt another gush of wetness leak from me along with the fluids already accumulating at my entrance. The sensitive strip between my anus and entrance burned and tingled as I felt the sticky liquid slowly drip down me, tickling the little hairs as it went.
"Please my lord," I said gently, my hair curtaining my face from him so he could not see the red of my cheeks. "I only ask that if you take me here, you take me from behind and I can cover my face from any crowd that may gather." I felt my heart beating hard, the idea of a group watching me as I was being violated made the shame so great that I could feel the throb of my pearl, the blood rushing through it, to pound in my ears.

Her notion was tempting and I could see that it was in her nature to want such a thing. Yet I didn't want the Scorpion to seem like any common street rat taking a whore in the alley. "You don't wish to look at the one who wants you?" I took a breath and removed my mask slowly, she'd never see my face again so it didn't matter. "What do you want, Fermat, truly want?" If she didn't want me I'd live with it. If she did ... then oh what fun we would have. My hand ran down her chest and down slowly to feel her exposed wetness ... to aid in her decision.

His words felt strange on my ear, it wasn't something often given to me these days, my choice that is. But it reminded me of the Night Court and occasions in which I had actually felt genuine arrousal. My head turned back at little as I looked at him shyly from beneath my lashes. When I felt his fingers against my wanton entrance I gasped a little and nodded as I bit down on my lower lip. It was my practice to stay as quiet as possible only allowing myself gasps when ever pure pleasure ran over me. It has been my experience that most men I'm with want me silent.
I waited then for him to decide what came next as I became a willing participant in my sexual huminilation, and I just reminded myself that I was just allowing myself to feel pleasure and it was no more then that.

I wasn't going to do this, out in the open where people would see, at least, not where they could identify us. Quickly I swept her up into my strong arms, placing another deep kiss upon her lips. We ran back up the road and I found a place where some boxes were stacked up to the roof. I set her down gently once we reached the top and began to undress. "I'm not going through with this, unless you truly want it..." I was now in only my shirt and breeches, looking at her longingly.

He picked me up and I wrapped my arms around his neck, though my eyes stayed with the box I had been sent to pick up as it laid on the ground. My mind wandered to what my mistress would say if she saw it laying like that, or how much she would likely punish me because of it. He brought us to an alley way then began to undress and as he did I began to prepare myself though I was admittedly aroused. But when he turned and spoke his words cut through me and my head turned looking back in the direction of there the box lay. I pressed myself to the hard brick of the shoppe behind me as I looked back to the man that had saved me. When I looked at him, his almost sweet looking face made my body run cold and all desire left me. I shook my head then, tears forming again in my eyes.
"No." I said then softly as I forced my shyness away for the briefest of moments. "We shouldn't... I'm..." I pressed my open has to the rough bricks behind me. "You shouldn't have given me the choice." I added softly then turned and hurried away, back down the road to where my box lay. Carefully I fit the lid back on it and tied the ribbon that had come loose before lifting it back into my arms. When it was steady I began to walk again, headed for my home.
