~|[Yvonne de Somerville]|~
~Name: Yvonne Antoinette de Somerville (a.k.a Vy or Mere)
~Age: 24
~Birthplace: L'Agnace
~Gender: Female
~Race: D'Angeline (Agnacite)
~Height:5'7
~Eye Colour: Sky/Pale blue
~Hair Colour: Pale Blonde
~Appearance: Her fine and fair features mark her nothing other then a Scion of House Somerville. Her hair is like soft spun gold and curls in gentle waves that cascade down to her rear end. Her skin is pale and flawless and had she have been any other child she might have been given to Camellia House when she was a babe. Her eyes are a clear blue that match her pale hair and skin perfectly. Like the scions of Anael Yvonne body emits the intoxicating scent of apples when she is upset, nervous or excited. Yvonne is a very attractive young woman, even for a d'Angeline, but where some would consider this a great advantage she finds it the opposite. Many men are drawn to her but mostly because of her looks and so she does her best to play down her beauty by dressing simplisticly.
~Played By: Amber Heard
~Personality: Yvonne is a very closed off person to those she doesn't know, which also causes some people to think of her as cold. But this is mostly because she's a very sensitive person and she fears getting hurt. For the most part she is a very loving person to those around her and she tends to take on a motherly persona with anyone she feels is “child like” or innocent. Yvonne has a natural tendency toward husbandry as well and enjoys caring for animals as well. She's also very artistic and spends her down time drawing or painting. For the most part she fears very little except for one thing; Yvonne has never been able to carry a child to birth and after several miscarriages she feels she'll never be able to. She also fears that like her mother any attempt to try to have a child will eventually end in her untimely death. Yvonne, having grown up in a slightly purist home, never had any daliances with boys growing up and because of this her husband was the only man she's been with. Though shy and occasionally awkward in reguards to flirtation, Yvonne plans to seek out new experiences in the bed room.
~History:
Often called “Mere” by family and friends, her nature is simply such that she feels it necessary to take care of everyone at court whether its cousins, siblings or just the staff. Being born into the Somerville family has meant a certain amount of responsibility for Yvonne and though she has no royal blood to speak of that hasn't dimmed her prospects or her duties. As a child she was caring and was raised to care for others just as much as she was raised to be a child of nobility; being a Somerville, her family's seat has always been close to the City of Elua and because of that she's spent time at court since she was young. Her father -Rolande de Somerville- was a Lieutenant in the Royal Army before he lost his right arm (which earned him a title bestowed by Queen Sidonie before she died) and her mother -Jeanne Antoinette de Somerville- had been a most beloved lady in waiting to the Queen.
Rolande and Jeanne-Antoinette (or Reinette as she was called) met innocently through a mid-winter fete when they were young and their love bloomed quickly and happily between them. They were married young but had trouble conceiving. Reinette tried everything and frequented many different healers in hopes of finding a way to have a child; she wanted nothing more then a happy family. Eight years into their marriage she finally conceived a child, their first born son Xavier de Somerville. Reinette and Rolande were happy with their son and the three made a happy little family, but as time went on and Xavier grew to a strapping young man of thirteen, Reinette longed for more children and once again began to try for another. Happily for her though it wasn't long till she was with child, this time she gave birth to Yvonne. The group of four lived harmoniously until six years later when Reinette was again with child but this pregnancy didn't go very well. Reinette suffered deeply likely because she was in her forties while she carried her third child. She was put on bed rest and every healer did everything they could for her but when the time came and she went into labour, nothing could help her and she bled out, dieing not long after giving birth to her second son Etienne.
Growing up Yvonne always took over the tasks of the woman of the house, after her mother's death Yvonne's youth was put on hold and it often landed to her to take care Etienne and even her father. Along with those duties she took up the usual ones of a female of her standing; riding, tumbling, reading and writing, sewing, painting and drawing, arithmetic, physical sciences, languages and diplomacy. For the most part when her brothers reached a suitable age her be less present in their lives Yvonne began to go to court if only to get away from the problems at home; her father remarried Noelle Leblanc two years after her mother's death and soon bore two more sons. Noelle was a self righteous and arrogant woman who only wanted money and cared little for children both her own or Rolande's first three and she took out her frustrations on Yvonne who was the only other female of the family.
When Yvonne reached a suitable age for marrying, Yvonne sought any means to leave her home and when she met a young man at a fete, the Prince of Lucca, she felt she found her out. The young Prince was taken back by Yvonne and became infatuated deeply by her presence. The Prince was slightly rash and despite his family's rather loud objections, like a child wanting a toy the Prince would accept nothing less then to have Yvonne at his side. Not long after this he asked for a political match and at 19 Yvonne left Terre d'Ange for La Serenissima where she married the Prince of Lucca. For the most part the marriage had been political for Yvonne but after a time she grew to love her husband and even lit her candle. The pair tried for a few years to bare a child and every attempt ended in a miscarriage, each one causing a fracture in Yvonne's heart. When she was twenty two she was once again with child and it seemed as though this one would stick and they would be blessed with a child. But during her sixth month a raid on their estate which ended in the death of her husband also resorted in premature labour and the child died at only a day old. Yvonne was doubly crushed and it was then that she contacted her father to let her come home. A new Prince of Lucca would be crowned and Yvonne, as an outsider, would no longer be needed or really wanted in their world; they never really liked Yvonne nor did they want her there, it had always been the Prince of Lucca that desired Yvonne. So it was that she packed her things and returned to the City of Elua and in particular to her family's town home.
