My first trip outside of the house of our honorable host was quite the trip indeed! I saw so many beautiful things that my eyes were dazzled. Nothing could compare to the beauty of the women, each more beautiful than the next. It was enough to have me in a constant state of arousal all day.
I had been told that in the winter it can become quite cold and that it would be well to purchase furs for the drop in temperature which was certain to come as draught follows rain at home.
I walked inside and found myself surrounded by pelts such as I had never seen. My dark eyes twinkled with subtle delight at the wealth displayed.

I didn't normally run messages anymore, but the day was too beautiful to spend indoors, and I had jumped on the opportunity to head down into the City. I was walking down a street in the artisan's district, almost to my destination, when I spotted him. Dark, foreign, and handsome. Not handsome in a way D'Angeline men could be handsome, but handsome nonetheless. I watched him disappear into a fur boutique, and hurried off to deliver the message. I wanted to get back before he left.
I was grateful that I had taken some thought of my appearance that afternoon. I was wearing a gown of pink pale enough that only one with the colouring of Cereus could wear it. The neckline scooped low, saved from being indecent by lace that mostly hid but also hinted at the skin of my breasts. The same lace continued up to form little cap sleeves. They were loose on my shoulders, for the bodice held my gown to me tightly, flaunting my young silhouette. My hair was held back from my face by several clips, but then left free to tumble down my back to near my knees. Normally I would have braided it back, but I had washed it that morning, and it had only recently dried in the sun. I felt confident in my appearance as I pushed the door to the fur shop and slipped inside, message delivered and free now to see if this foreigner was as handsome up close.

Even in a land of perfection such as this some beauties have an even higher favor, one that makes them stand out even more. Such was the case of the maiden who opened the door and entered the shop. My eyes should have melted upon looking at her, but thankfully they were preserved. At the time I had been looking at the rick pelts of the foxes, darker and softer than those from home. Now though I was taken by rich, soft hair of the woman as it fell to her knees. That was the only blanket a man should ever need, I thought to myself. I watched her, hoping she would look my direction, a smile prepared for her.

I saw enough of the store as I entered to be instantly aware that he was here. I kept my eyes down though, looking at the rich pelts before me until he and I were in the same aisle and could see each other fully. Only then did I look up, a glance, and I blushed softly as I looked back down to the floor. Naamah he was handsome. His hair was all soft waves, falling gracefully about a face that held a force of personality not often seen. And that personality was focused on me with a devastating smile.

She glanced up, then down and and I wondered what she had thought of me in that moment. I felt bold in the moment, as a great lion. I took a lordly step towards her, purring as a young lion in my greeting to her. "Hello, lovely one," I said, my accent thick. She was even more beautiful up close, devastatingly so. I wanted to reach out and touch her pale flesh, white like mountain snows. But I was raised to show restraint until the bedroom and that I would do. I mean, show restraint. Though she and I in a bedroom is a wonderful thought indeed.

He spoke, and I took the opportunity to meet his eyes with a soft smile. Such a rich brown, as rich as my own. "Good afternoon my lord," I replied with a curtsy, for he must have been a prince. Or if he wasn't, he should have been. Just those three words he spoke, and I already could tell that he could be a leader of men.

I was lost in her rich brown eyes for a moment, a moment that seemed as if it could have been forever, but no time at all, for I wanted to continue looking. When I came to reality I replied. "I am Nasir, prince of Ummaiyyt. I find if a joy to meet you."

He looked into my eyes like he wished to study my soul, and my blush grew. When he spoke again his voice was lower, as if he had been thinking important, weighty thoughts. Maybe he had been. I curtsied again, much lower this time. "It is an honour your highness. I am Nyx nó Cereus, adept of the First House," I said, my voice soft. I had heard of the customs of Umaiyyat. Women were kept secreted away, to protect their modesty. I did my best to appear modest before him, the natural blush on my cheeks making it easier, but I also wanted him to know that I was of the Night Court. I wouldn't have hesitated to tempt him into becoming a patron before, for he was handsome and charming and polite, and I knew my body would love to be pressed against his. But to find out that he truly was a prince... Any adept would jump to have such a man as their patron.

I did not know what an adept was. I would need to ask her. To tell the truth, her last statement was lost to me as I was lost in her beauty. "Adept? First house?" I bit my lip, feeling an idiot for asking what was doubt a foolish question. "What do you mean by these things, fair one?"

Confusion filled in eyes, and it seemed out of place. I didn't think he was one often confused, so I tried to explain in the most diplomatic way possible. "I am of Cereus House, first in the thirteen Houses of the Night Court. Adepts, those of the Night Court, are dedicated to our goddess Naamah, and assist others in their worship of her."
Fair one, lovely one. Oh yes, I rather liked him. I just hoped I didn't scare him away, and that he knew that Naamah was the goddess of pleasure. I wasn't sure I could explain that and still act modestly in his eyes.

When she said Night Court something in my mind clicked. Was this the House of the Night that Laurent had mentioned to me. If so then it made sense, for she was the loveliest creature than I have ever laid my eyes upon. This Naamah... the name was something familiar, but not from here. It sounded like a name I might here back in my homeland. "Please, tell my more of Naamah." My eyes sparkled when I said the name. "And tell me two what fur would be the best for a blanket. I hear winters are cold." Though if she could keep me warm through the fiercest snow I would by overjoyed.

Oh dear. I blushed a little more. Not because I was embarrassed, but because I had been caught trying to be modest and now would have to explain that really I wasn't quite as modest as he was probably used to. First though I drew him over to the bear skins. "It is spring now your highness, it probably won't get cold again until autumn, six months away. But for someone of your stature, I would suggested bear skin to warm you." Though you would work very well as my blanket... Stop that Nyx.
"Naamah was one of Elua's companions, an angel. While Elua spoke for love of all kinds, Naamah showed us the physical representation of love," I explained as he looked at the furs. "Each House of the Night Court is dedicated to a different aspect of lovemaking."

She showed me the bear skin and I took the largest and softest one from the rack and draped it over me, ready to purchase. It was massive, but I wanted one that would cover me and whatever beauty wished to share my bed. Hopefully Nyx would be the first.
Elua, that was the name of the city, and as Laurie said, the Lord of the land. "P-eeesickal representation?" I asked as I stroked the fur.

I was distracted from watching his fingers move across the fur idly by his question. How to explain using different vocabulary... "How people show each other their love in the bedchamber," I tried instead. He hadn't started calling me a whore, or wearing a look of disgust. Or even worse, a smirk, so I thought he was probably one of the more open foreigners that made their way to our capital. It gave me a little bit more freedom in what I said to him. "And sometimes outside of it."

I smiled, not in the possessive way a commoner would on seeing a whore, but as one would smile when unearthing a rare treasure, one you have heard about for many years but had never seen. Such is how I looked about Nyx. "Ah yes ... my host Laurent has spoken of the Night ... Court and said I should like to visit it. I see why," I said, a bit breathless and the end. Suddenly my complexion reddened and I felt too forward with her. "My apologies..."

His reaction made me bolder, and I smiled. "Please your highness, there is no need to apologize. I shall take it as a compliment," I said, glancing up into his eyes.

I didn't know what a compliment was, but it sounded good falling from her lips like a drop of pure, sweet nectar. Therefore I smiled as well. My eyes then moved to the fur which was draped over my body. I wondered at its softness as well as the ferocity of the beast in its life. "Would you like to stroke it?" I asked innocently.

My lips nearly quirked into a grin but I contained myself so that I could take a step closer. My hand reached up and I stroked the fur that covered his upper arm. "It's very soft," I murmured, meeting those dark eyes again.

I smiled when our eyes met and my soul yearned to kiss her. My hand which stroked the fur now as well glided smoothly over hers and I smiled, guiding her hand, not only over the fur, but other the well formed muscles of my arm.

"Your host was correct. You really should visit the Night Court. It would be an honour to give you a tour of Cereus, if you chose," I offered boldly, my voice soft and intimate. He made it easy, his hand warm against mine, guiding it in its path.

Her voice was soft and it beguiled me, tempted me. I wondered if she knew how much. I closed my fingers around her hand, an act of boldness that seemed good in my eyes for I could sense desire in her. That sense filled me with joy for I wanted her with all that was in me. My heart quickened inside of my chest, the beating increasing. "I would like the, beautiful one. I would like it very much."

The look in his eyes, I knew I had him. Of course the sword cut both ways, for my body felt alive and wanting, my desire for him large. Naamah would have it no other way. His hand moved to hold mine, and I stepped even closser. "I'm very happy to hear that, your highness," I said, a promising smile. My hand turned in his so that we were holding each other.

"Shall we leave now? I want very much to do it with you." My lack of the language failed me once more and I glanced to the owner of the place. "I should pay for the bear first." Hand enveloping hand I walked with her to the counter and laid down a bag of gold which fell upon the counter with a clink. The owner smiled and nodded and the two us turned and left, walking out the door to exit.
