"Yes, what do you mean?" I had a confused look on my face. I had enough education to help me through the rest of my life; or most of it.

I laughed pleasantly. "I know what you are thinking. I'm sure all of you have had more than your fill of learning. However, I am speaking of those who are not as fortunate as we. I do not believe that the intelligent are only found in the houses of nobility. I once had a servant who was a master at languages, though he had never gone to university." The concoction would begin to take effect at this point. "I'm proposing a school system, funded by the generous, for the teaching of gifted commoners." I leave it to you to decide my true feelings on this matter, but it was all part of my plan, for revelry.

“Oh, that sounds wonderful,” I said, leaning forward in my chair a little. “What a marvelous idea.”

“I disagree,” I said, finding myself annoyed at having attended if this was going to be the topic of conversation. “The schooling system in place is just fine.”

I simply raised both my eyebrows and lowered them again. "Why?"

“Why what?” I asked, returning his look. “Why is it fine?”

I nodded, slightly annoyed, more at the fact that he was annoyed than that I was so committed to my point. "Yes. Why are things fine the way they are? Wh shouldn't we try to give other people chances?"

“Look at how our nation has prospered, that is why it is fine. Change for the sake of change can be harmful and a threat to the nation,” I said, rising. “I am not going to stay if this is the sort of discussion that is going to be taking place.”
I bowed to the ladies. “It was a pleasure to meet you.”

I let the man leave, I would rather spend the time with two lovely ladies than have to share, should the plan go well of course. "Well there goes a master logician. Educate some people and we've threatened the nation? Though I suppose we cannot judge a man's philosophy." I was scared to say too much for fear I would offend the women.

I shook my head and couldn’t help but chuckle. “Some fear change because they are the recipients of too much advantage in the current structure,” I said with a smile before sipping my tea.

"Exactly," I said in a low tone. I liked this girl, and while she may not have had the stunning looks used that I was typically magnetized to, her spirit made her quite attractive. "Any human structure is imperfect and can be improved upon," I said in an almost professorial tone.
I was struck with a dilema. Did i truly want to satisfy the boiling need within me now and carry out my plan, or perhaps speak with Josette about meeting with me at a later time...

“I agree,” I said, nodding and glancing at Julian, wondering what she thought of everything.
