I had been planning this event for quite some time, both in the experimenting and the logistics of it. There of course had to be a way to cause the loss of memory in the.... I'm getting ahead of myself am I not? My apologies.
I had sent out general missives to various people of noble standing that there was to be a sort of tea party at my residence, a sort of social event in which I would lay out some new discoveries and propose some changes to the educational system, but all and all a good time should be had by all. I mean I didn't wish to bore people.
They didn't know how good a time they just might have. This fact caused me some degree of concern so the more sensible me had a remedy as well.

I had received an invitation to a tea party from Laurent de Rocaille. I was surprised as I didn’t know him, but I was quite pleased. It sounded fun and new and that was all I needed to know.
Stepping out of the carriage I made my way up through the door held open by a servant. It seemed I was one of if not the first to arrive and I glanced around, curious as to the host and what the evening might hold.

I made certain I was dressed to the nines and that my place was as clean as possible. My appearance was deceptively gentlemanly. It even deceived my soul. Therefore as my first guest arrived I came out to greet whomever it may be with polite sophistication.
It was a young lady who stepped out of the carriage and I felt my mouth water a little. However at the moment I was more focused on presentation. I smiled at the stranger who was my guest and bowed slightly. "Greetings I am glad you could make it. I'm Laurent de Rocaillie of course." With a gesture of my hand I invited her inside. "I believe you are the first to arrive, miss..." I said, fishing for a name to call the lass.

I returned his smile and then curtseyed politely. “Josette Bradamante,” I supplied as I rose. “Thank you very much for the invitation and the welcome.”

I grinned and nodded. "You are most welcome." I opened the door for her and, once inside, pulled out a chair. "Can I offer you something to drink, or shall we wait for more guests?"

I had received an invitation to a tea party at the home of Laurent de Rocaille's residence. Seeing how I haven't been out as of late, I decided to attend. Dressed for the occasion, I stepped out of the carriage and headed for the door that was being held open by a servant. I had seen a carriage had arrived before mine pulled in, so I wasn't the first to arrive, but I wasn't the last either. I walked in and saw a man and woman, catching the introductions.

“Whichever you prefer,” I said, smiling wider as I took the offered chair, smoothing my skirts as I did. “I am easy to please.”

Josette's choice of words made me chuckle internally, however there was no external reaction other than a polite smile. "An excellent trait to have." I would have risen and poured us some tea right then when a new guest arrived. Another woman arrived and I instead rose to greet her. "Welcome, my lady! Please have a seat. I'm Laurent Rocaillie, though I am sure you could figure that out."

"Thank you, Laurent," I said. "I'm Julien de Morhban." I gave a polite curtsy, one from guest to host.

I bowed slightly and grinned. "You are most welcome, and it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance." I pulled out a seat for her at the table where Josette was seated, checking first to see if they knew one another before I made introductions.

I was bored, so incredibly bored, that the invitation to tea had actually sounded like a good idea.
I dressed in shades of blue and made my way to the residence. Getting out of the carriage, I made my way up to the door and knocked.

I began to pour the tea and listened to the light conversation. The tea was normal for now. I had a special brew prepared for later. I couldn't help but sneak a glance at the two women while I poured.
As I began to bring the tea in where they sat I heard a knock on the door. I quickly set it down, smiling and telling them I would be but a moment. I opened to door for Shea and smiled, bowing politely. "Greetings, m'lord. I am Laurent de Rocaillie. Welcome in!" I hoped more guests would arrive soon.

“Thank you,” I said, inclining my head to the man who answered the door. The name he gave matched the one on the invitation and I wondered at the lack of a servant at the door. Was he too poor for a staff or perhaps he was just the type to do without? I wondered at it as I entered the house.
“I am Shea de Vermandois,” I told him. “It is a pleasure to meet you.”

"Likewise," I replied with a smile. I then gestured towards the table where the women were seated. "Feel free to make yourself at home here. You're a bit early and I believe there are a few more guests scheduled to arrive. "

She ‘good afternooned’ me a second time and so I thought it might be up to me to further the conversation.
“I’m Josette,” I said, smiling. “Do you know our host or are you like me, just meeting him now?”

"Julian," I replied, returning the smile. "And yes, I'm just meeting him today." I wondered if our host had some sort of agenda of having this tea party or it was just that, a tea party.

After Shea had taken his seat I decided to grab one of the tiny cups of tea for myself and join everyone. I knew that to them all I was a stranger and I had to make sure they got to know me and have the proper opinion, the opinion that they would remember that is.
"Well I am glad you could all be here. I'm not familiar with the city and it is nice to make new friends. Perhaps we can all come to know one another better as well as find what passions drive us."

Early? Gods, I really was bored.
“Thank you,” I said, inclining my head and moving past him into the room with the two women. They seemed to be talking so I took a seat not far off and settled in.

I smiled at the other man who joined us before turning my attention to our host.
"That would be lovely," I said, still smiling. "It really is quiet nice of you to host us."

I shot a thankful smile to Josette and sat down beside her. "Well perhaps as we begin and wait for potential others to come and join our quaint festivities we could go around and perhaps give a short glimpse of who we are?"

“That sounds perfect,” I said. “I’ll start. I’m Josette Bradamante. I am the youngest of six children and the only girl. I came to the City a while ago with two of my brothers to experience as much of life as I can.” I smiled at everyone and waited for someone else to go.

“Shea Vermandois,” I said, inclining my head to everyone once Josette had finished. I didn’t bother going into my lineage, they should know it in truth, just by my surname. “I am the oldest of five siblings. I am here in the City for…” I paused for a moment. “Well, for things such as this actually.”

I nodded as each one spoke, paying close attention to the small details they gave. "Well of course I am Laurent Roacille. I am also the youngest child," I said to Josette. "Though I only have two older siblings. I am in this city to work on improving education, to meet people, and to fulfill my greatest desires." I grinned and looked at Jullian, waiting for her biography.

Sadly, I deduced that there would most likely be no more guests. Still I would work out my plan. I got out the second tray of tea, in which I had placed a tasteless potion that would relax the body and subtly induce a state of mind that is relaxed and highly suggestive. I served them the tea, making sure my cup was free of any such concoction. "Well, I suppose I should get the hard part out of the way first before our time turns to more social pursuits. I must admit I have a slight agenda, namely education of Elua's youth."

My eyebrows went up as I studied our host. I hardly needed education.
“What exactly do you mean?” I asked.
