Character Played By: Elena Korikova
Name: Olga Romanov
Age: 25
Race: Ruskovian
Gender: Female
Appearance: Olga's features tend toward a stern harshness, but are lovely in their own way- and she is quite the beauty in Ruskovia, Her form is long and lean, possessing curves but not voluptuous ones. Her eyes are a strong, dark green, her hair a deep blonde and falling to her waist in an abundance of curls. Ruskovian clothing suits her well and that is what she wears with a stubborn determination unless required to do otherwise, though it is much too warm for the d'Angeline climate. Her expression is either one of serene focus or abstracted thought, though on seeing something that offends her, her eyes will flash with a moment of disgust before she controls her gaze again.
History: THe eldest girl of the Romanov family, Olga is a good Ruskovian lady- obedient while strong-willed, subdued while striking in appearance, loyal to family while keeping her younger siblings focused with an iron fist if necessary. Family and honor are foremost in her mind at all times and she does her best to protect both, no matter the means necessary. Her obedience to her elders is absolute, though she will speak her mind if she disagrees- but in the end, if told to do something, she will, no matter her dislike for the task at hand.
Most content to have remained in Ruskovia and wed some nobleman there, unfortunately the Tsar already had a strong base of family power- her eldest brother and his wife and children. And so Olga obeyed, albeit without enthusiasm, departing to Terre d'Ange with her younger siblings. SHe isn't looking forward to it, as are some of her brothers and sisters. Alexei and she are close in age and enough so in manner to get along well, while her relationship with Svetlana is more complex- they are often at odds, but accent each other and share a sisterly love. Fydor is a young man, outside her span of understanding, but she dotes on him from time to time while not setting the same limits to him as her sisters, of whom she expects a great deal- mostly that they remain good, virtuous Ruskovian women, virginal until marriage and obedient to the causes of the family.
The culture she was raised in doesn't empower women in the same way she has learned the d'Angelines do- and that suits her fine. She knows that Terre d'Ange is a beautiful place where all of the people are gifted by their gods- and somewhat despises them for it. Her noble people, the strong and stalwart Ruskovians, claimed their lands from the other cultures, the snow and the wild animals- and therefore earned it. She knows she is being sent to wed one of these weaklings, or one of these weaklings's allies, and she will behave in such a manner as to find a suitable husband, or keep one her family has selected- but she will likely not love them, or even respect them deeply. Deep down, her greatest hope is to wed, bear children, have her husband die of natural causes and become a regent for her son until he can rule- and then go home, where her heart truly lies.
