Name: Marquis Landis de Verreuil
Age: 27
Race: d'Angeline
Gender: Male
Appearance: Standing at 6'0" flat-footed, Landis seems as tall as whoever he's speaking to and has an air of confident self-assuredness. His air of worldliness is a trait inherited from his Azzallese mother, though his features favor his Siovalese father and their family. His hair is a deep brown that looks black in the shadows; under light, it gleams almost red. Accentuating his blue-grey eyes, he leaves his hair shorter in front, handing to his cheekbones; in back it hangs to the bottom of his shoulder blades in light waves, always tied into a loose ponytail. He walks with an unassuming grace and perfect balance and is lean and lithe. His muscles are perfectly proportioned to his build and are almost invisible when he is at rest, appearing to fade into his flesh.
History: The only living grandson of Luc de Verreuil, on whom the title of Marquis was granted, Landis is the only male to survive, the middle son that was supposed to go to Cassiel until his elder brother died in an accident when he was nine, only a year away from leaving. Suffering the twin blows of his brother Tybalt's death and not being able to go be a Cassiline like his esteemed ancestor, who he idolized, Landis sank into a deep despair. Hoping to keep him from dying of sorrow, his father Marcus hired trainers to teach Landis fighting and tumbling and he quickly brightened to his new state. Only two years later his younger brother, Louis, died of a childhood illness. From this Landis never recovered, leaving him a little bit of a thrill-seeker.
When he reached nineteen, Landis's parents died in a fire while visiting some family friends. By now an adult and better able to cope with grief, Landis immediately stepped into his father's place, ruling his lands efficiently though he himself is still a bit of a risk-taker. Far from showing any bitterness, he is a rather charming man, always ready with a kind word or a smile to put people at ease. Still, he has found himself no one he considers worth marrying and has ventured into the City to see the sights and maybe the women. His skill with weapons is great, as well as his ability to tumble and ride; still, he has the quiet nature of his Siovalese upbringing, though he is more aggressive than he seems. His temper is moderately steady and he has never been seen to act irrationally; everything about him is graceful, even his mind.
