Age: 17
Race (Lineage Origin): D'angeline
Gender: Female
Height: 5'4"
Home Province/Country: L'agnace, Terre d'Ange
Appearance (1-2 Paragraphs): Rochelle appears waifish, slender to the point of skinniness, though she has begun to fill out since her mother's death. Her eyes are a pale to dark brown, not quite the near-black of her father's, nor the pale caramel of her mother's, while her hair is a deep blonde. A light smattering of freckles lays across her nose like stardust, another legacy of her mother's. Everything about Rochelle is delicate, from the slight bones in her wrists to the long, slim fingers.
Personality (1-2 Paragraphs): Rochelle has always been a quiet girl, full to the brim with dreams and imaginings, but having no true outlet for them. She reads and daydreams, though she was always too ill to believe she might ever actually do anything with her life. Her illness gave her compassion and empathy, and she has a heart that is easily broken by the suffering of others. Kind and generous, Rochelle is naive to the ways of the world, except for what she has learned through books, because of her father's overprotective nature and her mother's indifference.
History (At least 2 detailed Paragraphs): Rochelle was born to a narcissistic father and a careless mother, two people who likely should never have bothered to bear a child. Indeed, after Rochelle, they never conceived again, recognizing at once their inadequacies in that regard. Denis, her father, did actually care for his daughter, in his own way, but nothing or no one could surpass his care for himself, for his wealth and position, and Rochelle was no exception. Rosalie, on the other hand, never liked the child and considered her a rival for Denis' affection, such as it was, from an early age. Rochelle's childhood was rather dismal, because no matter that they had money to spare and Rochelle had all of the latest fashions and toys, she was too ill to enjoy them. No doctors could ever diagnose her malady, for if it was not one symptom, it was another. That she was truly ill, none doubted, but the cause was never discovered. Denis paid a fortune to attempt to cure her, for he saw in her the potential for a partner in crime, but it was not meant to be, not the least which because Rochelle was kind where her parents were cruel, and eventually Denis gave up and sought instead to protect her, hiring a Cassiline to keep her company and guard her from some of his less savory business contacts.
In due course, Rochelle became a young woman, and with her Cassiline's help, she made a few friends and began to have a bit of a life outside of her father's house. She made friends with a lady and an Orchis, and together they fed the poor in Night's Doorstep and the two taught her things that a mother should have and her life brightened. Her mother had taken to being away on "business" much of the time, and her health issues lessened considerably. When her mother died in a carriage accident, she grieved, but not overmuch, and her health improved even more.
Now that she is older, her father has begun to take more of an interest in her, bringing him with her to parties and on business, her Cassiline shadow never far behind. Guy, Sophine and Sandrine have encouraged her, and she has begun to take steps to attain her independence, and a life outside of her father's shadow.
