Our board and Ads

So I really enjoy the little thingy at the top that shows your most recent threads BUT that ad is super annoying. I personally use adblock at home so I only see the ads when I'm at work so I can generally ignore them, but I was just wondering about the rest of you? I was considering purchasing credits to make the board ad-free, but before I did that, I'd like to know what everyone else thinks about the ads. SO here a couple of questions I'd appreciate some feedback on:

1. Do you use anything to block ads?

2. If not, why?

3. Do you find the ads distracting/annoying? Especially when you were new to the site and considering joining, did you think the ads detracted from the site overall?

I use pop-up blocker, but nothing for other ads.

I just ignore them most of the time.

Yes, they can be distracting and annoying at times. I think the board would look more polished without them, but I don't think they are so bad that you need to spend money to get rid of them.

I do believe you can move the ad banner to the bottom of the page if you preferred.

Nope, don't even notice them.

I run through too many boards. I hardly notice the ads, to be honest. Pop-up Blocker takes care of the suspicious stuff.

Not at all. Free forum sites all have them, they're expected, and I don't judge a site by them.

Adds don't bother me. And now that things barely function for me at work with new blocks I am concerned any other changes might be access from there impossible.
