Sabrina de la Courcel
Queen and Ruler or Terre d'Ange, Duchesse d'Eternelle
Age: 24
Race: 3/4 D'Angeline and 1/4 Alban
Descendant of Elua, Namaah, Kushiel and Anael
Appearance: Sabrina is un-mistakably of House Courcel. Though she carries her grandfather’s sable hair, her skin is a soft ivory, and she’s marked with the long slender neck of house Courcel heritage as well as being tall and slender. Her eyes, deep violet, she inherited from the L’Envers line; her great grandmother Isabel L'Envers, her grand mother Ysandre de la Courcel and her mother Alais de la Courcel all with the same colour. She’s delicate and graceful, but Sabrina has inherited he mothers adventurous and free spirit. Sabrina is of average height at 5'8.
History: Born to Princess Alais de la Courcel and the Soveregien Duc of L’Agnace Louis de Vermandois, Sabrina grew up with all the best tutors. She learned Cruithne and Eiran, Caerdicci, Skaldic, Akkadian, Aragonian, Hellene, and Illyrian, the Tsingsano language (though her parents never knew she learned it). At ten she began lessons with a former adept of Eglantine House, where she learned the art of tumbling as well as all forms of dance.
Growing up on the edge of the City of Elua was hard for Sabrina, being so close to the City and yet so far. Chateau de la Courcel was great for growing up and provided ample land for one of Sabrina’s favourite activities, horse back ridding, something she’s quite proficient at. But she always seemed to feel cut off from the world around her and especially at court. When Sabrina was eight, her mother gave birth to her twin siblings, Christien and Coretta. For the most part her mother doted regularly on her twin siblings, and for the most part Sabrina didn't mind, she was usually off in her own world.
During her youth Sabrina often felt the weight of being a royal, even as cut off as she was. There was always tension when she went to court, her mother and aunt did not always share much time together, and Aunt Sidonie never seemed happy to see Sabrina. This gave her even more of a reason to feel like a outcast. But that just gave her more of a reason to perfect herself. When she wasn't working on her studies she was learning archer, sword work, riding, hunting, sewing, painting, and modern literature.
When she turned eighteen, she went to the University of Tiberium where she continued her learning. She managed to convince her mother to send her alone, but she went under the name Reinette "Rina" d'Eternelle. Exceling in all subjects, it was painting and art history that became her passion. Indeed all her professors spoke of how she needed to pursue this ability of hers, but Sabrina knew too well that it would likely never happen. At twenty Sabrina left school and returned home; tensions grew in foreign lands as relations with Khebel-im-Akkad broke down. During the war, her father spent much time with Ambrose in Marsilikos, while Sabrina, her brother Christien, her sister Coretta, and their mother Alais, spent most of their time awaiting news within the stone walls of her fortress home.
Though kind and not often to temper Sabrina is usually shy and solitary in nature. Most people will come to know her as being a bit more adventurous once you get to know her; her wit is usually a little sarcastic but she perfers to laugh and usually leaves being humourous to another. At birth Sabrina was given a small holding of land on the L'Agnace and Siovale boarder. Eternelle Estate has a modest house and a handful of servants, and though it is her property she has yet to visit.
When her cousin King Ambrose was attacked and killed along with his wife, Sabrina was really thrust into the word of politics like she had never knowns. Never had she really wanted the weight of the crown; never the less it was on her shoulders to hold her nation up during a time of crisis. It wasn't long after her cousin's death and her ascension to the throne that she found her husband in Prince Alexei Romanov of Ruskovia. This became another time of increasing tension as the parliament of Terre d'Ange began to come down on her. During a time of fractures spirits, they wanted her to choose a D'Angeline husband to solidify their nationalist interests.
