"I think I know which ones I want, though I'll probably get some of them fixed up or fitted," I replied with a smile. "But I don't mind looking over my things again and waiting for you."

“I’ll be quick,” I said with a grin before slipping back into my dressing room to finish up. I was eager to move on to the next store and see what she thought of the daring attire there.

"I'll be waiting," I told her cheerfully as I went back to my changing room and put on the gown I'd worn that morning, then picked up the gowns I was intending to buy and signed for the charge while arranging for them to be sent to the townhome. With that done I walked back to Josette's changing room to see how she'd come out overall.

I was coming out of the dressing room just as Noemi returned, a pile of dresses over my arm.
“Let me pay for these and then we can venture to the next store,” I said with a grin.

"That's fine with me," I agreed cheerfully as I stepped away from the counter so she could approach with her gown, my eyes flashing in enthusiasm. This had been a fun outing so far and I could only imagine how the rest of the trip would go. "Do you still want me to be at your house for that meeting with the waiter tonight?"

“As long as you want to,” I said, grinning at her as I paid for my items and arranged for delivery.

"I think that sounds like a lot of fun," I said enthusiastically. "Will your family be there? I wouldn't want to intrude."

“I doubt it, but even if they are, it’s just two of my brothers and me there, so there’s nothing to intrude upon,” I answered, smiling. Finished with the business, I turned fully towards her. “To the next shop and then home in time to get ready for our guest? How does that sound?”

"That sounds just about perfect to me," I agreed and gave her a slight curtsy as I grinned. "And thank you again for the gracious dinner invitation. Shall we go and look at the more scandalous gowns now? I'm almost breathless to see what's considered toeing-the-line in this City."

“It does take a stretch of the imagination,” I said with a chuckle as we exited one store to head for another. “It must take quite a lot of work to come up with clothing than is scandalous here.”

"Well, when I see it I'll know for sure what kind of direction it takes," I replied cheerfully and with a good bit of eagerness. I may not have had Victoire's talent for fashion but I liked to have fun with what I wore. "Is it expected for girls here to push the boundaries in terms of clothing?"

“Hmm, I’m not certain,” I said after a moment’s thought. “I really haven’t been here long enough to know what is really expected.”
