Character Played By (the person in your avatar): Goran Visnjic
Name: Farid Djalily
Title: no title
Age: 19
Race (Lineage Origin): 1/2 Akkadian, 1/2 D'Angeline
Gender: Male
Height: 6'2"
Home Province/Country: Khebbil-im-Akkad
Appearance (1-2 Paragraphs): Farid is tall and muscular, all angles and planes, even his jawline appears to be chiseled from stone. His D'Angeline heritage is not immediately apparent, though the perfect symmetry of his features and sometimes mutable color of his eyes are clues that he is not entirely Akkadian.
Personality (1-2 Paragraphs): Like his father, Farid has a sadistic streak. Perhaps it would not have come to much, but it was carefully cultivated to impress Henri, so that it is ingrained in him now. He is very intelligent, cunning, and loyal to his father. He has a streak of temper, but is adept at controlling it, from years of practice. His Akkadian upbringing, as well as his father's influence, has given him a rather skewed view of women, he does not think much of them.
History (At least 2 detailed Paragraphs):
When Henri L'Envers came to Khebbel-im-Akkad, he spent time with Aviv Djalily, a courtesan (not to be confused with the much higher class servants of Naamah), who became pregnant. Thinking this would elevate her in his standing was a mistake, though Henri did evince some interest in his son. Not at first, for what use to him was an infant? However, as Farid grew into a gangly youth, Henri paid him some small attention here and there. Not the same type of attentiveness that he paid his daughter, but Farid was hungry for any bit of interest his father paid him and strove to please him in all things.
Farid flourished as he grew, learning the arts of the sword, riding, anything his father wished to impart on the occasions that Henri deigned to pay him mind. He was a fast learner, and eager to please the father that he looked up to. Hence he has always followed Henri's instructions to the letter, never questioning his authority.
Not interested overly much in Terre d'Ange, nevertheless he followed his father to the City, to be his eyes and ears and to carry out orders D'angeline men might find objectionable. He has some curiosity about his distant relatives, but only as they relate to his father's ambitions, which he does not completely share, yet will do whatever he must to see that Henri gets whatever he is after - by any means necessary.
