Seventh week of spring, year two of Queen Sabrina's reign
I had been out exploring, just wandering the streets. Despite the stares I received, I was determined to enjoy my trip here to the City. I had managed to stumble upon the most glorious of places - the artists' guild. They had a collection of Hellene-inspired sculptures on display, and I walked between them with a grin on my face from the sheer beauty of the lines. This was what I had been missing in Marsilikos.

I had some free time to myself, emilia was with her grandparents, and I decided to go look around the Artist's Guild. I had no real intentions of buying anything, but I liked to look. Besides, I might just spot something for Juliette to show my thanks for all her kindness.
I was entranced by a collection Hellene styled sculptures, wondering whether or not Juliette would like one, when I felt my body brush against someone else's.
"Forgive me," I said. "I wasn't watching where I was walking." I looked at the person I had brushed against and my breath caught. He was strikingly beautiful and I had to control myself from reaching out to touch his skin.

Long blonde hair, soft brown eyes that a man could fall into... Elua.
"Not at all m'lady. It is I who should apologize. I hope I didn't startle you too much," I replied, sketching a short bow. To be honest though, I was rather glad we had brushed up against one another. She was far more beautiful than any of the sculptures here.

I felt my pulse jump just a little as he spoke and bowed. Part of me was certain I had seen him wrong, but when he moved and spoke, I knew I hadn't. I felt myself falling into old habits, my years as an adept overtaking my desire to just look at him.
'Not at all, I hope I didn't cause you too much damage by running into you, my lord,' I said, smiling as I curtseyed, taking the opportunity to glance up at him through my lashes.

Wow. I took her in, and that was the only conclusion that I could come to. She glanced up at me through long lashes, the look alluring and innocent all at once.
"No, no damage," I replied, hooking my thumbs in my belt. It was a habit I had developed years ago so that I wouldn't fidget with my hands. "And you?"

“None at all,” I replied, still smiling. In an effort not to stare, I stole quick glances at him. “It seems we’ve managed not to damage any of the statuary either, so all in all it was a fortuitous collision.”

"Indeed it was. Otherwise I might have missed the most beautiful piece in the room," I said with a smile. I couldn't help it, the charm slipped out. Besides, it wasn't as if the sight of me had scared her off.

Oh, he was charming on top of being attractive and enticing, my my.
“You are very kind,” I said, smiling even as I felt my cheeks turn rosy at his compliment. “Were you looking for something to purchase, or just browsing?”
Well, it wasn’t taking long at all to fall back on my training now, was it? True, I was speaking of the statuary, but there was a hidden meaning if he wanted to look.

Colour touched her cheeks, and my heart thumped at the sight. "I hadn't left this morning with the intent of purchasing, but it's hard not to be enticed," I said, my grin widening a bit at her innuendo. Maybe I was asking for trouble, but who could resist?

I let my eyes meet his before they slowly moved over him, taking him all in but in no way gawking. “I can understand that. When you find something beautiful that draws you in, it’s hard to find the desire to fight it,” I replied. My gaze dropped again, but mostly so I could look at him through my lashes. “And have you found yourself enticed as yet today?”

Her gaze drifted down my body, and I found myself standing straighter without even meaning to. I wanted her to like what she saw. I decided to take a chance. "Might I buy you a drink, so that I may fully describe the beauty that has enticed me? I couldn't possibly do it justice, describing it here."

“I would like that very much,” I told him with a smile. If I had stopped to think about it, I might have been surprised at myself, but thinking about it was the last thing I wanted to do. He was beautiful and exotic and from what I could tell as drawn to me as I was to him. All I wanted to do was see where this would lead, no thinking involved.

"Roland Zidane," I introduced myself as I offered her my arm. "And you'll have to chose a place for said drinks my lady. I'm afraid I'm a newcomer to the capital."

“Caraf Tewar,” I replied, smiling as I took his arm, my fingers lying against the skin of his forearm. “The White Hart is just around the corner. It is a nice establishment.”
