Name: Shea de Vermandois, future Duc de Faucon
Age: 17
Sex: Male
Race: d’Angeline (L’ Agnacite)
Height: 6’2”
Home province: L’Agnace
Description: Dark brown of hair and eye, Shea might be plain were he born to any other race. The fine structure of his bones and innate grace mark him as a pure d’Angeline. He keeps his hair short and in a tousled style that looks careless but actually takes quite a bit of time to perfect. His full sensuous mouth is more likely to be curved in a smile or wry grin than anything else, though he can think of far better uses for it than just smiling. He is lean but well muscled, taking constant pride in how he looks dressed as well as in various states of undress.
Lineage: Grandfather Marc de Vermandois, Duc de Faucon (uncle of Louis de Vermandois, father of Queen Sabrina) received title from his mother – grandmother Marie de Vermandois, Comtesse de Bois
Father Sebastian de Vermandois, Duc de Faucon - mother Gillian de Vermandois, Duchess de Vol
History: Shea was born to a life of privilege and it shows in the easy grace with which he moves through life. Never having known want the concept is somewhat foreign to him. The oldest child of Sebastian and Gillian de Vermandois, Shea was indulged before he was even born, an entire wing of the estate having been converted into an elaborate nursery. Having arrived a boy and in full form, his life bloomed even further into one of ease.
Shea’s parents met at an arranged fete, their marriage a foregone conclusion as their parents had already set the plans in motion. Both families were of ancient L’Agnace vintage and believed their only children should keep up the traditional purity. The first six years of their marriage produced no offspring though and within a few circles it was wondered if the families were being punished for their snobbery. The wait was just that though, a wait and not a punishment for after Shea came two daughters and two more sons.
None of the children were neglected, but neither were any of the others as indulged as Shea. For it all though, he isn’t spoiled as much as oblivious to what else his life might have held. He is smart but not scholarly, schooling coming as easy to him as anything else and not holding his attention. Not one to seek out trouble, he is not adverse to it should the opportunity present itself, and the lack of repercussions he has known in the past have led him to a lack of wisdom in knowing when to pass. His one true passion is falconry and he prides himself not only with his skill but with the care of his birds.
The time has come for him to experience life away from the insulation of his family’s estate and so with his two most prized birds accompanying him he makes his way to the City and life at court.
