His finger touched my cheek, and suddenly the rules of the game had changed, the stakes upped. I blushed again, my breath catching in my throat until the touch had left me. Thankfully the server returned with my mead, and I had a moment to compose myself again. Gods it had been too long, my reactions to these two were... "You raise a good point," I said to Jules when the server was gone again, a soft smile on my face. It was as flirtatious as I ever got, for they both looked good enough to eat.

Capturing her hand, I brought it to my jaw-line. Then, slowly, my eyes never leaving her, I rubbed my beard against her palm.
“See, hardly rough enough to cause a tingle much less burns,” I murmured with a smile.

Again my breath caught, my fingers flexing enough to caress him back before I realized what I was doing. "Oh, neither of you play fair," I said breathlessly before giving myself over to my blush.

Even as I rolled my eyes at my friend's obvious ploy I chuckled, smoothly caressing down her cheek and then tucking a tendril of loose hair behind her ear. "Well, I suppose that's a fair point too," I replied in a soft, low tone, giving Helene a wink. "But as you can see my Second here plays a bit less fair than I do. Hardly knows the meaning of the word 'mercy', that one." There was a tone of obvious teasing in my voice and just to reinforce it I gave Keegan a mock-stern look and wagged a finger at him. "Haven't you learned better yet?"

“I’ve learned how to please women, what more is there?” I asked, still grinning. “It’s far more than you’ve learned, my wolf-breathed friend.”
Leaning in, I murmured in Helene’s ear, “He just can’t help the jealousy, please don’t hold it against him. He’s a good guy if you can stand the smell and the fleas.”

Keegan leaned in and whispered, his breath stirring the sensitive little hairs on my neck. And that was after Jules little caress. I didn't know how I was going to withstand the flirting from both sides, I felt like I was going to melt. "I think I could find it in my heart to look past any imperfections either of you might have." The statement was damn bold for me, and if my cheeks could have gotten any redder, they would have.

"That's because you're a kind, beautiful lady without compare that others should appreciate," I replied with a smile, bringing my hand down over her arm and then lightly brushing them over her fingers. The blush on her cheeks was startling but charming all the same and I enjoyed her spirit, even though she didn't seem terribly accustomed to being strung between two adepts ruthlessly teasing her. That only meant she deserved the attention that much more though.

“On that you are completely right, Jules,” I agreed, grinning rakishly. “See, I told you he wasn’t completely without merit, beautiful Helene.”
I took her other hand and brought it to my lips, kissing the back softly. “Thank you for being so kind and understanding as well and stunningly gorgeous,” I told her.

"You'll turn a girl's head with compliments, especially the way they drop from your lips. The two of you are dangerous. How many angry husbands have come after you?" I asked. It was hard not to jump every time their skin brushed mine. But their blatant use of charm wanted to make me flirt back, even if I wasn't very good at it.

The fact that Helene wasn't yet a puddle of goo in the hands of Keegan and I was a good show of her character and willpower, but that only made me more eager to see how she would behave in a more relaxed setting. But then who didn't want to see a beautiful woman that way? "Well, you don't get to be good at this unless you know how to get away," I teased gently, my fingers stroking over her fingers and then along her palm and the inside of her wrist where the skin was more sensitive to the light touch. "And there's probably better things to do with lips that can turn a girl's head." At that I picked up her hand gently and turned it over, brushing my lips against the spot on her wrist I'd been stroking earlier.

I couldn’t help but laugh on the inside at Jules obviousness. Helene was very beautiful though and I could hardly blame him. Had my heart not belonged so fully to Nyx, or had Helene come to Orchis for an assignation, I would have put up more of a fight for her.
“So, before the lovely Helene gets bored with your flirting and runs away with me, are you going to tell her why you brought her over Jules?” I asked with a grin.

I had to pull my hand back after he kissed my skin, his touches suddenly too much for a public venue. I didn't know that I was made of strong enough stuff to take the teasing of an Orchis, I was just too shy. "He said something about a contest?" I said, though it was hard to focus on anything much besides how my cheeks and skin burned from my blush and their touches.

When she pulled away I instantly smiled a little more softly and sat up a little bit straighter to give Helene her space, not meaning to crowd her. Some people were a little too sensitive to keep up with that sort of teasing and I'd remind myself to be a little less forward from now out. "That's right, to judge whether Keegan or I is the more attractive adept," I replied with a grin, then took another sip of my mead.

I looked back and forth between the two of them for a minute. "You really want me to try to split hairs and tell you who's more attractive? I'm not sure I can."

“If we’re going on split hairs, then Jules will win, I mean the boy uses lye to wash his hair,” I said, shaking my head sadly. “You seem like such a kind woman Helene, if you want to give the win to Jules so he will have one victory in his life, I will understand completely.”
