Name: Myth Celebrantè
Age: 22
Race: D’Angeline (Tsingano & d'Angeline blood)
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Myth is fair and small, standing at just over 5’4” and weighing only a hundred pounds. Her hair is dark chestnut and shimmers in the light with slight streaks of natural highlights, making her bright blue eyes seem larger and her skin nearly ghost white, much like porcelain.
History:
Myth is the daughter of a Robel and Angelique Celebrante. She has the coloring of her mother, the bastard daughter of a Terre D’Angeline Noble and a common woman who lives just inside Nights’ Doorstep. Very fair and easily burnt under the summer sun, her mother was never acknowledged by the nobleman who fathered her and was restricted to Nights’ Doorstep until the scandal of her birth was forgotten. Her lively personality and ease with which she gains access to the closest confidence of those around her is all her father, however. Robel,a Tsingano shop owner , claimed to have never picked a pocket more lovely than Angelique’s and hounded her every step until she consented to marry him. Theirs is a love story Myth hopes to recreate for herself someday, though it seems to be less likely the older she gets.
Myth was raised in Night’s Doorstep and has worked in nearly every faction of the Doorstep she knows so well. She lives two apartments away from her parents and sees them often, sometimes babysitting her younger brothers and sisters when her parents need a little time to themselves. She has found an affinity for merchandising and has recently taken up employment at the silk shop frequented by Nobles and adepts alike. She finds herself drawn to them, soaking up their mannerisms and practices mimicking them at night while she sits alone reading books. “You never know when knowledge of that sort will save your hide, Myth,” her father used to say as he taught her the inns and outs of life within Night’s Doorstep. He told her when she was fifteen that she should join the local theater, with her ability to mimic those around her so convincingly. She began spending a few evenings with the theater group each week and has even been in a production or two, to mild acclaim. Her latest part was that of a noblewoman come to one of the Court’s Houses for an assignation only to find herself at the wrong house. She had a great deal of fun researching people to mimic and this is what led her to the silk shop and Jean and Jacques Blanchard. The part earned her a healthy paycheck from the theater company, money she tucked away for a rainy day. She’s already planning her next roll; that of an adept of the Night Court in an upcoming play, set to begin rehearsals with the first snow.
Between times of theater and roles, Myth finds work as a 'pincushion' of sorts. Used by Ladys of nobility, she stands in as their model to have dresses, corsets and other forms of clothing fitted. Used to standing in places for hours, and much of that time in uncomfortable positions, Myth has learned patience, though something in her aches to let go. She works to live, never having known what life would be like if it were just handed to her. She's trustworthy, hard working, though she doesn't tend to trust easily; her noble father made her wary and cautious of peers of the realm, even as she strides to be like them... Even if only in her heart.
