Post by Noelie de Maignard (H) on Jan 17, 2010 2:38:22 GMT -5
Name: Noelie de Maignard
Age: 22
Height: 5'6"
Race: D'angeline (Azzallese)
Gender: female
Home Province: Azzalle
Appearance: Noelie is a bit on the tall side, but not overmuch. Slender and willowy, graceful on her feet, she carries herself with all of the pride of the Azzallese. Her hair is long and blonde, lustrous shiny waves that fall down her back like a palecurtain. Her eyes are a steel grey-blue, the color of the sky before a storm, and her skin like alabaster.
History: Noelie's family has a long and proud tradition in Azzalle, a line of Comtes that are well regarded by the nobility around them. They did not tend to spend much time in the City, instead taking very seriously their responsibilities to their holdings. The latest in this proud line was Vermand de Maignard, who was once a brash young man with more pride than sense. He fell in love with a young noblewoman from a neighboring estate and though she was betrothed to another man - a match made for her by her family - he swept her off in the dead of night and married her. Emilie Baudelaix returned home to an angry family and a scorned fiance, but eventually her family came around and peace was restored.
Several years into the marriage, the couple had children, twin sons, Reynard and Maxim. The two were doted upon and then a few years after that, a daughter joined them, Noelie. Noelie's childhood was rather uneventful, though as she was the youngest she was often overlooked. When Noelie was fourteen, her mother died from a fall from a horse, and Noelie took over the running of the household. As she loved her father and brothers dearly, she found this no burden; indeed, she rather adored looking after them.
During the war, Reynard and Maxim were oft gone, out making their fortunes, leaving Noelie to look after her father. The two were close, and when he finally took ill and passed away, she was devastated. Reynard, being the first born, came home right away and took over as the rightful heir, with Maxim as his right hand man and Noelie looking after them as was her way.
When both of her brothers married and had families of their own, however, Noelie found herself at loose ends. Her entire life had been spent devoted to caring for others, and now those others had wives who were taking over the task. After much soul-searching, Noelie's brother gave her permission to go to the City of Elua, there to study the teachings of Eisheth at the Temple there and in turn to look after the family's townhome there.
