My recent splurge into the world of Aragonian poetry inspired me. Today it would be an ethnic dinner to go with the words of one of their great storytellers as his characters killed dragons with flaming breath, so would mine no doubt after a plate of this. But I knew it would be delicious. I was feeling oddly free spirited this day, as though I was a child escaping on a little self crafted adventure. My one big question: what sort of an adventure would it be?

I felt like getting out of the house and having dinner some where special. I thought about asking Gregoire to come but I had a sudden urge to go by myself. Choosing some where I wouldn't usually go I stepped out of my carriage in my dark green gown and headed up to Casa Abuelita. As I reached the front door I noticed a solitary man standing outside as though contemplating if he wanted to go inside. "They usually don't serve meals in the street." I said teasingly as I looked at him with a quirked brow and a little smile.

I turned my head around quickly to place a face with the voice of the young woman who had teased me. I smirked and shrugged. "Well I thought I could try my luck, but you're probably right. Guess I'll just have to risk going inside then, hmm?" I adjusted the hat I was wearing quickly. "I'm Guy de Mereliot."

I chuckled softly and turned toward him overing him my hand to kiss. "Duchesse Evangeline L'Envers de Morhban." I offered with a smile. "Care to join me for dinner?"

With a smiled I leaned down and kissed her hand. "A pleasure to meet you, and yes I'l love to." She seemed nice and I figured there'd be a good conversation. "Heave you eaten here before," I asked her as I held open the door for her.

"Never actually." I said as I walked through the door and waited for him to follow. When he had and the attendent arrived I asked for a table for two then turned to Guy. "What about you?'

I shook my head. "I haven't been either." I looked around quickly. "It looks like a nice place though. I've had Aragonian fare before and have enjoyed it. I actually came here to add some ambiance to a book I was reading, but I believe some conversation will be much better."

The matrie'd gestured for us to follow and we headed toward our table. "I does seem like an interesting place to dine." I offered as I sat in my seat and was handed my menu. "Do you have a preference for your meal?" I then asked as I looked over the menu. "Do you enjoy spicy food?"

"I do, but especially when I am in the mood for it, such as right now. Of course, I enjoy most sorts of food. And yes, an interesting place indeed," I commented. My eyes shifted around the room once more before I pulled out a chair for her, then seated myself.

I nodded a little absently before looking at him again. "What strikes your fancy Guy?" I asked as I put down my menus. "Any dishes that stand out for you?"

"Hmm, well the lamb chops sound like they would be quite good. I'm a bit of a carnivore so I think that's what I shall go with. And what about you?" I asked with a slight arch of my brow.

I had to chuckle at his words and I nodded a little. "Well I was going to have seafood but now I think I might have to try the lamb." I replied with a grin. "Though I'm not quite as much a carnivore as you I must admit."

I smirked and nodded. "Well I'm glad I could convince you to be one tonight. I'm sure the seafood is wonderful too though." A waiter came by quickly and asked for our orders. Afterwards I turned to her and said, "So tell me a little about yourself."

I smiled softly at his words. "What is there to tell." I replied as I waved a hand dismissively. "Nothing that can't be heard through gossip." I added with a quirked brow. "I have a twin brother who is Sovereign of Namarre, I'm recently widowed and am now the Sovereign of Kusheth..." I trailed off and shrugged. "What about you?"

I smiled. "Well, for one I avoid gossip with all the strength that I can, so I know nothing of what people might say of you. I was an officer in the army for a few years, and I have recently become Comte of Avignon."

"Thats very kind of you." I said a little teasingly in regards to his comment about not listening to gossip. "And congratulations." I added about his title. "How long have you been living in the city?" I asked curiously.

I smiled at her congratulations, though of course to me the title would always be associated with the death of Lucien. I would give up the world to have him back. I turned my thoughts back, however, to the conversation at hand. "Since midwinter."

I nodded. "How do you like it so far?" I asked curiously as I reached out and picked out a roll from the table and began to pick it apart and eat little pieces as we waited for dinner to arrive.

"I am growing to like it more and more. I find new things, simple things that make it worthwhile. Take this place for instance. I will always love the country, but this city had a certain appeal to it that has won me over." I felt as though I had said enough, so I grabbed myself a roll as well.

I listened and nodded as I thought on what it was saying. "I agree." I said softly after finishing a bite in my mouth. "I was mostly raised in the country, it wasn't till I was much older then I was able to come to court. My brother has always prefered the countryside but I've always been partial to the city just for the reasons you said." I replied.

I nodded. "I find it interesting how people tend to have that division. Some say that you can tell if a man if a city or country man by his dress. That's true for the most part. However I think it's in the face."

I raised a brow as I gave him a coy smile. "Oh?" I replied. "Do go on." I added, interested in what he had to say on the subject and hoping he would elaborate.

"Well, country people tend to have an innocence in their eyes, they're more alert in expression. City people have narrowed gazes, and a hardened expression. A country person can, however, have tan or rough skin, and a city person pale and soft. It is all in the eyes and the turn of the mouth," I explained. "For the most part, city people appear bored. It sounds negative and I don't mean for it to be," I added, nearly apologetic in my response.

I chuckled a little at his explaination and shook my head. "Yes it sounds negative, but its also very humourous." I said with a little grin. "I enjoy your assement, it is an interested thought."
