Many things weighed on me of late. First and foremost, the lack of progression when it came to any sort of unity within the clans. Historically it had never been accomplished, and while Waldemar Selig had come close, it had not been enough.
At first, I entertained no grandiose ideas of invading Terre d'Ange, but something about that nation, with their pretty faces and divine ancestry, rubbed me the wrong way. It was a common enough feeling, that contempt, but I had wondered... if they were as soft as we named them, how was it that they had repelled us at every turn? We had to get smarter, not just use brute force. It wasn't a popular theory, which was one of the reason I was having such trouble raising allies.
I had made a series of raids into Terre d'Ange's most isolated areas, and had met with some small success in thieving cattle and horseflesh, but I knew I was fighting only a small part of what forces the country could command. I'd begun to look for allies in other areas, other countries who might feel as I did ... perhaps there would come someone that I can use?
