Player Name: Gene
Character Name: Xavier Burel
Character Type: Citizen
Character Race: D’angeline
Character's Home Country/Province: City of Elua Night’s Doorstep
Age: Indeterminate he thinks he is in his mid 20s
Character's Appearance:
Xavier is none descript D’angeline of mixed heritage. He has the normal nearly otherworldly beauty associated with his race but he is a street bred mongrel through and through. His complexion is dark and swarthy and his coal black eyes seem to miss nothing. Quick to smile and joke even at his own expense there is still a dark and brooding edge to the fellow. He is of medium build and prefers dark clothing and is almost always seen wearing a cloak as often as not with the hood pulled up hiding his features and a scarf across his face. But what is most noticeable about the man is the fact he is utterly silent in his movements it often times seems as if he simply appeared from the shadows that spawned him.
Character's History:
Xavier or “X” as he is known to his friends has no idea when he was born. Indeed he has no idea who he was born to. As best he has ever been able to discern he was born to a street level servant of Naamah and the gods only know who for a father. His mother he has been told vanished shortly after squeezing him out and he was taken in and raised by the Tsingani.
Though he was not one of them and could never hope to be they did see to it that the lad lived to be an adult. In short it takes a village to raise a child or in this case a master thief. For that is what Xavier is, not a common thug but a skilled practitioner of his profession that he takes great pride in performing skillfully. He never carries less than four daggers secreted on his person as well as a garrote, but these are more for show than anything else. A real thief does not resort to crude violence unless forced though good threats go a very long way to loosening the purse strings.
His most prized possessions are his thieves’ tools containing lock picks, rope, and climbing tools. They are simply the tools of the trade. Indeed in X’s world the job is done right when he obtains his bounty and is gone and no one is ever the wiser other than belatedly realizing they have been robbed. Of course a fellow does what he has to do so picking pockets, extortion, and any other means of making a buck and surviving are simply what he does for a living. Living as he does the fellow is by necessity rather quiet and elusive, but when one gets to know him he is a fast friend and boon companion.
