Spring had come, and with it came fresh air, the beauty of the world waking again from a long slumber, and I craved to be out in it, to stretch my legs. The sun was warm on my back as I walked without much of a purpose, a lone guard trailing me, but not so close that we were walking together. For once I was alone, not strolling with a friend or a partaking in any political conversations... I could think, I could breathe, I could enjoy the day as it was.
Lightly twirling a parasol upon my shoulder, I watched the temple of Elua as I came upon it, my eyes covering it's beautifully sculpted exterior, appreciating the beauty of the rock and masonry work. Like always, I couldn't stop my mind from traveling back to my most memorable time there, when Delaunay and I had stolen away to the temple and married in secret. Sadness and pride trickled through me; sadness for the time we had lost and the hurt suffered to both of us since, and pride in our ability to move past it and connect again. Without really thinking I paused, laying my hand on a fencepost as I did so, gazing towards the temple with memories swarming in my mind.

I had been out running and errand for the house. Lately I had taken it apon myself to do more then just be a prince of the blood; that probably had a lot to do with my growing children. My son and daughter were growing quickly and would be a year old soon. Today I was on an errand getting more things for the nursery when I happened to spot a familiar face.
Azabel and I had been doing well together, things had changed greatly between us. Gone were our days of fighting and pain, now were our days of love and joy. Aza and I spent most of the weeks together either taking the children to the square or having dinner and staying in. I was now in a position to believe that I might get my wife back; that one day we might get married again. In fact this was exactly the thought I had been having when I noticed her.
Walking slow up to her I grinned and watched her as she stood in what looked like a pleasant memory. "Copper for your thoughts?" I asked softly with a little grin on my face. I couldn't stop myself when I was around her.

Visions were tumbling through me as I stared almost dazed at Eluas temple, so when a cultured male voice spoke suddenly next to me, I gasped and jumped, color flooding my cheeks.
"Del!" I exclaimed as soon as I'd settled again, almost immediately after jumping. A smile bloomed across my lips as I gazed upon him, so much taller and broader than me, a perfect picture of how a d'Angeline should look. For not the first time near him I felt the desire to simply touch him, to trace my fingers through his hair, to twine them with his hands, to just be close. I restrained myself of course, but I did nothing to ease the pleasure at seeing him.
"I was just thinking," I mused as I glanced back to the temple again. "Remembering, really, of the night you and I stole away here." The structure was open, beautiful, and I sighed softly. "The first time we were wed," I added, looking back at him with a grin.

I had to chuckle a little as Aza startled at my presence, a smile appearing at her face. When she began to speak my head began to tilt a little as I took in her beauty. I chuckled again as she recalled that evening during the midsummer faire. Unable to stop myself I reach up and tucked a lock of errant hair behind her ear, savouring the silky feeling as I did.
"We were so impestuous." I replied still baring a little grin for her. "Though I certainly don't regret it." I added.

For all I attempted to restrain myself, Del broke the distance between us and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. Smiling a little I caught his hand and kissed the inside of his wrist before he could pull away, before turning my gaze once more to the temple.
"There's only one thing I regret," I said, my breath so soft that no one, not even the guards trailing me, could have heard - only Del, "and it's not marrying you." My smile took him in again, and my hand reached to take his, my fingers twining through his easily, familiarly. Things had been so smooth between us of late, easy and effortless, just the way they should be.. the way they always were before. No, I definitely did not regret marrying him, but the annulment that ended it.

I held her hand in mine and smiled. Maybe it was just the nostalgia of being there with her or maybe it was the fact that everything that had been broken between us was fixed. Either way I just couldn't stop what came out of my mouth. "We should fix that then." I said softly for only Aza to hear.

For all we'd been doing well lately, for all we were staring at the Temple of Elua and recalling memories, I still hadn't expected what had just come from his mouth. I looked at him, but the startlement I felt was already fading to a smile, warm and broad and full. I didn't say anything, but released his hand so I could cup his face properly, rising up on tiptoe to kiss his lips. "Yes we should," I whispered against his mouth, my fingers caressing his jaw.

I chuckled softly and decided to break the distance that we had been keeping when in public. I did care for the politics anymore, I knew that Azabel was the only one for me and I was pretty sure she felt the same. I stepped toward her and slipped both my arms around her waist. "And how about this time we do things differently." I said softly with a smile before closing the distance and pressed my lips to hers to kiss her more thoroughly.

It was silly, really, how much I enjoyed Delaunays embrace. Public or not, it always made me feel safe and secure, and I gave a tiny, pleased sigh as heh eld me to him.
"Do things differently?" I asked softly once the kiss ended. Snaking my arms around his neck would have been a bit much in public as we were, so instead I held my arms down, hands up to hold the lapels of his coat. "How so, my prince?"

I continued to smile as I held her close to me, my hands gently stroking her back. "Well," I began. "Smaller." I chuckled. "Mayhap instead of a huge public wedding we could do something intimate." My hand reached up and I ran my fingers through her hair. "What do you think?"

A thrill shot through me, the first true realization that we were going to be wed again. The problems we'd had had dissipated, and I was determined never to let them come between us again. I loved Delaunay; I'd learned a lesson, and that was what was important.
"Small and intimate?" I repeated, my eyes closing briefly at the stroke of his hands upon my hair. "Just a few guests for each of us," I murmured, my fingers stroking across his upper chest, just small, delicate movements under the lapels of his coat.

I took a breath and let out a happy sigh as I looked at Azabel and continued to caress the silken hair at her temple. "Azabel de Somerville. You are the only woman I have ever loved, the only woman I will ever needed and the only woman I want as the mother of my children. Will you do me the honor of marrying me...again... For the third time?" I gave a little smile with the last part.

Speaking of marrying, settling it was one thing, but having him ask me to marry him again was still another, and one I didn't expect. My mouth dropped open some before a smile spread aross my mouth, mostly love, but partly humor for the little bit he tacked on at the end. "Yes," I whispered, forgetting protocol, forgetting everyone who might see us, what rumors might swirl. I brought my arms up around his neck and held myself close to him. "Yes, gods yes, forever and ever Del. I love you," I whispered, my entire being shining with warmth and love.

My arms held her tighter to me as I smiled brightly before leaning in and kissing her deeply. My hand slipped up into her hair and caressed her beautiful locks as we kissed. Our lips pressed perfectly together and I deepened it, if only for a moment, by slipping my tongue gently into her mouth. My tongue ran against hers before I slowly began to pull back but still stayed against her. "I love you Azabel. You and no other."

We fit together so easily, so effortlessly that I found myself moaning softly against his beautiful mouth, appreciating him with more than just my mind and body, but with the very essence of my being. Delaunay was everything I wanted in a man, needed, and I was more than ready to dedicate myself wholly to him.
"I love you too Del," I whispered back softly, my eyes on his and my lips warm with the memory of his kiss. "Lets go back to your place... I bought something earlier today that I'd like to show you." A gleam sparkled in my eyes, and I brought my hand up to drag just up into his hair over the nape of his neck, enjoying the softness.

The sound of her soft moan brought my desire to attention the way no other woman could do. Azabel was not only tue love of my life she was also was also the woman I lusted after. She drove my blood to boil and made my skin ache for more. So when she spoke of returning home to show me something she had bought I was more then just eager. "Well what are we waiting for." I murmured as I grinned wickedly and resisted the urge to run my hand over her rear end. Pulling back I took her hand in mine and kissed her cheek then turned us and headed us toward her carriage.
